What is going on here?

There is a lot to swallow and digest in this topic but i want to focus on one thing if i may I thought mylot deleted topics they found unacceptable but i believe you are saying topics are reported by other members and then they are deleted Since when has an admin allowed members to monitor and control their site I agree however with many of your statements The site is slowly sinking and who knows when the end will come Good Luck

well this explains a LOT! for the past few weeks I have searched high and low for topics that weren't boring as heck! I was having a great time doing the quiz's and all of a sudden... they are gone! I enjoyed reading poetry and again, that's gone too!
I'd like to know who is having these topic's deleted too, but I doubt that they will ever come forward.
you know, I don't think that people know that they have the option to keep going or pass up the topics that they don't like... it's simple.. click the "X" and go to the next one!

here is where my star rating falls even more.. because on mylot, you aren't allowed to have an opinion without suffering the loss of your star reputation.

Well, that explains where you have been. I do see that there is never any security for anyone in what they post, and I can understand their discouragement. I am not giving up the forum here, but I have referred others to your Artist's Den. I do hear lots of people who are discouraged and who are having discussions disappear and get deleted. I think this discussion explains a lot. I still see jokes, and e-mail forwards, and delicious recipes posted here. I do not report them, and I usually do not respond to them, for fear someone will delete them. I hurry and print them before they get deleted. I want to have fun again. I do not want to only have discussions about why am I deleted, and why am I leaving. I want this to be the place it was six months ago. I will not blame it on the size, which some have done, but on the types of people who have found their way here. I hope you still drop in from time to time. I know you, and some of us others, had hoped to make it better again.

SK well said as I have noticed it is still happening to and it is starting to get worse again. A Friend of mine was banned again for no reason I mean she has been reinstated now but it is wrong that things are not being looked into before actions are taken it is so wrong
I am not as active as I used to be as I never know what is safe and what isn't anymore

I don't think I am going to leave because of the negativity------I am gonna stay and do my best to combat it.
I am a christian, and I feel it is part of my little place in this world to be positive, uplifting AND tolerant of those who don't know my LORD.

I've noticed this as well. It seems that people can't just pass by things anymore. They just HAVE to report it because THEY don't like the topic or the person who wrote it. It doesn't violate guidelines...they just don't like it.

I've seen things that offended me here. I don't bother to respond and went to another discussion. It really was not that hard.

I can't lay this out for you, because I don't get it either. People should just get over themselves and leave others alone.

You make it sound like you know who is reporting discussions and getting them deleted, and then you ask for them to show themselves.. so which is it? Do you see them or not? Do you have special software that we don't have to be able to see behind the scenes? I haven't reported anyone yet and I have not rated anyone negatively yet either.. but If I do report someone, I think I would let them know it. I think it is kind of unfair to get "written up" and not even know by who. don't you?

conversation starting quizes arent allowed for some but others seem to get to keep theirs.
jokes arent allowed but people still do them
Controversial topics about faith and religion are sure to wipe the starters stars clear off the map even thought they are thought provoking and great quality.
original writings are sure to be called plagerism and reported
Those of us that report cheaters get nothing for it yet we do it anyway because it is the right thing to do and we suffer for it when those we reported exact their revenge and our star plummets and we start losing earnings.

Personally, I haven't been around much or responding much either...heck...even creating many discussion...because every time I turn around, a discussion get deleted for some reason or another.
Or someone takes what I said completely wrong.
I can't say what I really think most times because someone will just think I am starting a fight instead of stating my opinion.
Heck, I have given my view of things and people have thought I twisted it all around!
I have defended people that have been wronged...only to turn around and be wronged myself. I have written what I thought was humor about things in my life but people told me to get a grip because life isn't that bad or I need to be more organized!
Ummm....seriously? I have seven children....trust me! The fact that I get done what I do proves that I am organized and just try to find humor in things to vent my feelings.
But because of people being hypersensitive....reporting stuff that is not against guidelines...starting arguments just because they have no other life....and many other reasons....I have not wanted to be here.

And since you brought it up about the quizzes.
Yes, that really upset me! Zu even posted a discussion warning people not to post discussions with quizzes...and it was not aggressive. But it was deleted.
How are we supposed to know that the "etc" in Don't post jokes, recipes, etc discussions....etc is really the term admin says covers quizzes!
Those personality quizzes are fun! I learned a lot about my friends and the conversations were hilarious in some! Amazingly, some of those quizzes were so right on to my personality, it helped people to know me also.:)

Religion....I agree. If you don't want to read it, pass over it.
If you are secure in your religion, it will not change your views it will only help you to understand other better.:)
