Houseflies can transmit bird flu  

Reports have shown that in an average farm, houseflies constantly shuttle between dirty areas with pathogens and clean areas such as feed storage and animal housing.Due to this nature of movement,houseflies have over the years been implicated in the transmission of over 30 different types of diseases caused by bacteria,protozoan,and viral parasites.And the deadly Avian flu has not being an exemption.A recent research at the North Carolina state university has revealed that common houseflies can indeed transmit the A1 virus within a farm.
