Grooming  

I don't "really" want someone to brush my teeth for me....LOL. I'm just lazy and wish someone would do my complete grooming routine for me. Most of it anyway.

This response has given me an idea for a discussion, something that I have always been curious about that has nothing to do with grooming. I will post it when I get home tonight. I hope I remember. :)

so hydrotherapy is the fancy word for hot tub. haha., i have tried that after my debut party. it was realy nice. reminiscing in the hot tub. eventhough my mascara was all over my cheeks. i looked like a rockstar., it was pretty awesome. i should have taken a photo.

What do you do with your hair the other 26 days that you don't comb it?? LOL.

I am one of the few people who cannot stand massages. It never feels good...always hurts everywhere from the tailbone up.

You should make a 'recreation' photo now, mesmerized and post it so that we can all enjoy it.

What do you mean what do I do the other 26 days? Nothing. I get up in the morning and I start my day. I brush and floss, apply deodarant and I'm ready for the day!! If my hair is short, I look ok. If it's longer and ratty looking like now, I get a lot of bemused looks. Yesterday a girl at an ice cream shoppe actually laughed at me when she saw me. I said, "What's funny?" Embarrassed, she said, "Nothing." I said, "It's me, isn't it? It's okay." She said, "Well, yeah, you do look kinda' funny."

You said you only comb it four days a month. And, you're joking about the ice cream shoppe....LOL. Why did she say you looked funny????? She's not used to bears eating ice cream, maybe? I can see how that might take some getting used to.

I wasn't kidding about any of these things, dfn12968. Remember how you seem to think that I meet people under strange situations. Stretch that concept a bit -- my daily life is on strange situation after another. At least it's not boring.

In fact, I am thinking about posting a discussion on something funny that happened today, but the last time I started a discussion about my goats, it got deleted.

First of all, don't be cryptic...share the strangness. Second...goats?????

I'm with you on the bill paying thing. If I didn't have my eyebrows waxed, though, I'd have a unibrow. I'm terrible at plucking. If I did that on my own, I'd end up with no eyebrows at all.

Waxing gets easier the more you do it. The skin gets tougher.

It's also not only the making me look like a princess thingh, suspenseful but totally being pampered. When I get a pedicure, if I go to the right place, they will massage my whole leg. That feels amazing!!

It is way too expensive. Even the simple eyebrow waxing sometimes seems more than I want to spend because I could do it at home for free. They just look so much better when someone else does it!

I do definitely enjoy it when I go with friends for pedicures, manicures, etc. My mother gets her eyebrows and lip threaded. It seems odd to me....LOL.

I have never heard of salons not allowing kids. That's interesting. What's the reason for this? Fumes? My mom takes my niece with her all the time when she gets her nails done.

I'm not sure if its the fumes or the possiblity of accident with the chemicals. What ever it is, I took her in to one, had her in her stroller with some snacks to keep her occupied, and when it was my turn the girl asked it I had anyone who could take her. I didn't, I haven't lived here very long. And she showed me the sign stating the statute. She took me to the furthest back spa chair and helped me hide my baby from the passers by. Then I told my neighbor, and she told me about her family's salon. Odd, huh?!

OMG! I was just sending you that PM I promised you and I see you live in Durham! I live in North Carolina too. Hmm, that must be a county thing, but others here on mylot told me they had the same situation happen to them in NC as well. Hmm, maybe it is a county thing.

That is absolutely bizarre. I think I have lived in 6 states and I have never heard of that. Hmmm....

Maybe, but I don't have kids, so maybe I just am not paying attention. Like I said, this is the 6th state I have lived in and I have been in lots of salons. Maybe I just think I've seen kids? What about hair salons?

I've never heard of such a thing regarding salons being anti-child, Katesmama. If we have that statute in the beautiful state of Georgia, we must ignore it.

Guess what, we were just talking about moving to Georgia next from here...need a decorator? A maid perhaps?

I am dying to know why. It's not like you're going to let your kids eat acrylic or something.

Yep, I've lived everywhere too, well, I've moved three times in four years, so that counts. And we won't be putting down roots here either. I don't know about hair salons, when I go, my guy takes the baby to help him tool shop!LOL

Yeah, I'm not going to settle here either. I hope to eventually go back to Seattle or move to Europe. I don't know when, though. This last move was a real pain in the butt!

OMG! My guy is thinkins seatle too! We have a couple we were friends with in DC that just moved to GA, and it would be nice to be near them. But my bestest friend lives in Tacoma, so there would be good too!

When are you planning on moving? I love Seattle! It's amazing. I know I'll definitely go back, I just don't know when. Probably when I gradute I'll start looking for jobs there.

When I graduate! LOL I have two years left on my degree. I'm trying to get in for fall, but my transcripts in my home town are being held up, because they're lazy. But as soon as I walk, we're outta this racist as$ area! If you haven't read my "I hate people" discussion, look it up someday when you're bored.

Is Winston Salem really racist? The Triangle area isn't that bad but there are definitely issues. I work in Raleigh and spend most of my time there. I don't do much in Durham.

How old is the discussion?

The discussion is not too old, but I seriously don't start that many, anything of mine is easy to find if you want to. I think it the racisim is worse up here where I am, its not exactly what I'd call the burbs, it very rural.

I'll find out soon...LOL. I think the book signing is on the 19th.

A Brazilian wax scares the heck out of me!!! Definitely too painful and too intimate, I think. I would pluck at home except I hate doing it....it hurts like he11, and I am also really bad at it. I always pluck way too much.
