I agree - humans with no respect for animals, have no respect for any life form. Too bad we can just shoot them off into space without a ship or suit. But I guess that would just lower us to their status of evil inhumanity.

What happened to you with your rottie is so sad. I had a neighbor down the street who once left their pitbull behind, tied up inside the garage. I kept hearing moaning and barking and finally found the source about a week later. The poor dog had himself all tangled up and his neck was worn raw. I took him to the vet and it took weeks to get some meat on his bones. I then found him a good home. Currently I have a rottie that I found malnourished and running the streets. He is now a healthy and beautiful family member.

And the sports industry is only one part of the mixed up world we live in. Take for instance the music industry and all the crap it is currently producing. All for revenue to expand more crap to a further and further distance. Dung is now fashionable. But thats a whole other discussion.

I am hoping that something comes of this and that every organization that can get involved with this issue does and creates the hugest stink so that every dog fighting operation everywhere is wiped off the planet (above and below) once and for all.

You're right. It's not only the NFL that
overlooks these things in the quest for the
almighty dollar. It is indeed the music industry
as well with the crap they're churning out.

Don't forget the sensationalism we get in the news
so they can gain ratings and advertisers. Most of
the movies these days are cheap rip offs from past
films.

And the biggest corrupt institution of them all,
our government.

I know, what an absolute waste. He could have been influencing young people in so many ways and instead he acts like a worthless thug. There should be some amount of accountable responsibility attached to such fame and fortune and it should be a crime to abuse it.

It is sad what celebs can get away with. With any hope he will face some serious consequences. I would like to see a crackdown on dog-fighting all over the country. I want to see loads of attention brought to this issue so the fighting of animals ceases.

What you wrote is the best. He should literally shovel s-h-i-t. He should also publicly announce how horrible his acts were and denounce dog-fighting. I don't think he is capable of showing true humility because I don't think it is something he possesses or ever will. We shall see. I am hearing people talk, saying he will probably only get 18 months. I am hoping it to be a minimum of 3 years, but 9 would be prime. Again, we shall see.
