2.  wiccania (2822) | 3 years ago |  I've seen and read a lot of stuff on the Titanic... From what I've read it was a combination of things. Had the ship simply kept going ahead full and turned the rudder all the way over they would have had minimal damage or missed the iceberg altogether. There were also flaws in the metal used which made it more brittle and I believe they determined that they used the wrong rivets on the hull.

3.  Sacrificialclam (4467) | 3 years ago |  The ship sank b/c of the iceberg hitting the metal. The davits that were holding the metal in place were weak and the metal buckled and tore as the iceberg hit.
History has said that if the Titanic hit the berg head on, she would have stayed up. As Andrews said in the movie, Titanic was designed to stay afloat with the first 4 compartments filled. Had the ship hit the berg head on, it would have crushed the first one, but the ship would have stayed upright longer until help could arrive.

and maybe it is the first biggest ship ever made at that time
so basically there must be the weakness of it
and the event was happened at night so it is totally dark
since they only use man to watch out the situation
so they didn't realise that there is iceberg relies ahead
so accident happened
