What do you do with items you don't use anymore?

Actually, I will hold onto them forever!:D
If it is clothes, I feel as though I could use them for something else, such as cutting up the fabric and making a purse or a pillow out of it.
I usually end up doing nothing with it though, and the stuff just ends up in the basement along with everything else I don't use anymore.
My husband calls me a pack rat!:D
I am thinking of having a yard sale sometime soon though.

Towels and old clothes, if really torn, have holes or wear areas, I cut up for rags. Other items, kids outgrown clothes, old shoes, dishes, etc. I either take to a consignment store, or I have posted on E-bay too.

If you don't have a consignment store or don't want to do e-bay, you can hold a garage or street sales. I've even taken stuff to the good will.

You can also take your old clothing to a homeless shelter, especially winter coats and gloves.

Well anything I don't use I donate to the local charity shops. We have loads here in London, and also various door-to-door collections in aid of all sorts of different charities. As a huge animal lover, I prefer to donate my stuff to the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Protection of Animals), or other animal charities, but I also give to Help the Aged, and local cancer charities. I can't stand clutter, and I wuld never throw something away if I thought it could be useful to someone else less fortunate than me, and make money for charity at the same time.

Well when somebody from my family say I don't need that anymore than i come quickly and check what is that;)

If family or friends want what I don't use, they are free to have it. My sister made me promise to give her first dibs at whatever clothing I don't want any longer. If I give it away to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, it has to be in good use. That is why I don't donate used towels. They don't look new, they look like hand me downs or just have bare threads. So if it is in good shape, I send it on to donate, otherwise, it goes in the trash.

I either sell the items I no longer need on ebay or I freecycle it. Or give them to friends or family.

I rarely get tired of my old clothes and things because im a sentimentalist, i tend to pack those things away...but when i like to give it, i give it to my relatives and some friends if they like and donate some too..

I will ask my friend before "Do you need it?" if she answers YES, so,i will give it to my friend but if she answers No, nothing can i do except donate it to someone that need it, like beggar. I hope that will be usefull

I'd maybe sell it if I could a yardsale or online. I have a bunch of beanie babies and other stuff I need to weed through soon as I can cause me and my sister are Moving Out of State! Otherwise you donate you, to a good cause, cause thats the best thing to do.

I keep items that even if I don't use anymore if they are gifts for me, things that have sentimental value. For other things, we used to donate them for the less fortunate and it feels really good.
