pick it up or suck it up  

I don't have to worry about that anymore because I don't have carpet. But when I did have carpet, I would just keep going over it with the vaccuum until it got sucked up. Sometimes I ended up picking it up but not intil after trying many times.lol.

I'll usually pick it up or move it enough to where the vacuum will hopefully pick it up. If it doesn't after I have moved it, then I'll just pick it up and put it in the trash myself.

I really, really, really hate vaccuuming. I will pawn the task off on anybody that will take it and if I get stuck with it then I vaccuum the entire carpet and go back and pick up the missed items.

okay this sounds like u might be avoiding two jobs empty the bag and then u shouldn't have to bend down to pick up lint. i believe that is why a vacuem was invented to pick up lint so we don't have to. but we must maintain so the vacuem can do its job properly.

This is one thing that I hate to do *smile* But normally when I vacuum the carpet, I will make sure everything gets suck up by my vacuum cleaner and if it still there, I will bend over to get it and start to 'scold' my vacuum cleaner for not being that efficient *wink*

LOL...I cant be bothered wrestling with the bloody thing, it would annoy the hell out of me, I just bend down and pick the thing up...

I bend over and pick it up. My kids always have little legos and such everywhere, and next thing you know you here.. bwap bap bap, then a little plastic thing shoots across the house..lol. So I walk around usually before I vacuum and pick up anything I know the vacuum won't. Including strings. Vacuums seem to have problems picking up strings for some reason. Then I use the attachment and get all around the walls, where capet meets wall. Then I do the regular vacuuming. Takes FOREVER, but if I don't do it that way, I will end up having to buy a new vacuum thanks to my two little monkeys.

I usually go over it a few times and if that doesn't work then I will pick it up. Though it's rare that I have to do this as my vacuum is pretty powerful. :P

We are lucky I vaccuum at all, much less bend over to pick stuff up all on my own. Lazy girl here. Yes, I am someone who runs over it and over it until it's sucked up. Only in extreme cases will I bend.

I do exactly the same. I get lazyitus when the vac comes out and will stand there for ages determined to get the object up the hose instead of just bending down and picking it up.
Complete madness I know, I am glad I am not alone.lol
