1. luvcatzzz (177) | 3 years ago | well, if he's already standing up to wee, i think that's good cuz they progress to that anyway!:-D how old is he? my son ... i didn't push it... we just went with the 'flow' so to speak... and he was trained at about 2 years of age. by not pushing him or stressing him out over it, he never ever had any problems with bed wetting or any of that stuff. so it worked out good.

2. Married2aMarine (951) | 3 years ago | If he likes doing it standing up, let him. If you're concerned about him making a mess, try target practice. Throw a Cheerio in there and tell him he has to hit it with his pee! Mine is the opposite. Will only do it sitting down and not standing up. I'm just going to let him do what he's doing...at least, he's doing it in the potty and not in the diaper!:)

3. zukepr (11799) | 3 years ago | Actually that is a good thing Him standing to wee just eliminates one step from the process Now you dont have to retrain him to stand after he learned to go sitting. It can be a little confusing for little boys to learn to go wee sitting then have to relearn standing up. Just be sure you teach him to aim LOL And dont worry about him going poo It will come beleive me

4. slarkin71 (4526) | 3 years ago | My little fella does it standing up. I tried to get him to do it sitting down, but he had no interest because daddy didn't do it that way. So I got him a little urinal that hangs over the toilet, so he doesn't have to stand on anything to reach it. And he loves using it.

5. superchook (821) | 3 years ago | I have 3 boys and my two older ones when they were toilet training used to sit on the potty, but my youngest son who is toilet training at the moment stand over the potty and does his wee. He has even done poos a couple of times by standing over the potty. He just doesn't want to sit down for it.
