 It is true that family guy can be harsh at times but every single time it is funny as hell! i think seth macfarlane is a genius with the type of show he created and he voices many characters including Peter, stewie, quagmire, brian, and Tom the newsanchor. The comedy in the show is very original. I don't find american dad that funny though... what do you guys think?

I love how they throw in subtle references about 80's pop culture. If you didn't grow up during that time a lot of it might go right over your head. Family Guy is definitely one of my favorite shows.

My boyfriend wasn't born in this country he came here when he was about 13 or 14 but didn't get to watch a lot of the 80's shows and he's also a Family Guy fan but I sometimes have to explain to him about the pop culture references but we watch a lot of TV Land and now he's familiar with some of the old shows and he gets it a little better. | |

| 4. cheapterri (1080) | 3 years ago |  I am actually surprised that Family Guy gets away with some of its jokes, especially since it's on Fox, which is a conservative station. Family Guy pokes a lot of fun at Republican issues and all that stuff. I love it though, it's always so fresh and funny. My favorite characters are Brian and Stewie, I think.
American Dad is okay, I sometimes watch it. It can be funny but it bores me sometimes.

I was at a loss when they took it off the air for awile. Then they brought it back. I was so happy. Stewie is my favorite character. I have a picture of him on my profile page-also o my website. I hope they never cancel this brilliant show again!
