 It just dawned on me, and I was curious to know how many of you mylotters have an iPod or mp3 player.
I have an iPod, and I can't live without one because it supplies me with music when I need it most; when I want to calm down, when I'm exercising, etc. How about you guys?

2.  pjanaway (155) | 3 years ago |  I ave a 30GB Video iPod. I have filled it up, I should of bought the 80GB one. Anyway, I only ever use it when I'm in the car or travelling in some kind of vehicle, such as my space ship when I go to Mars at the weekends. I also use it when I walk home from a drunken night out, or when I'm out drunk in the day time.
iPod is a great MP3 player to have, it supports many formats of music, luckily, because all my music files on my computer are .m4a and I can't be bothered to convert 8000 songs in to MP3. lol

| 3. scarywhitegirl (2476) | 3 years ago |  I have a 60 gig video iPod, but I only use it for the audio capabilities. I've got over 10,000 songs on it, so I always have a wide variety of music to get me through my commutes and my work day.
At home, though, I rarely use my iPod, preferring instead to listen to music on the computer. We have a good speaker system hooked up to our desktop, which serves primarily as our jukebox.

I'm thinking of getting an Mp3 player sometime in the future, but at the moment I'm quite happy with what I got.

And also when my siblings become a nuisance and I just want to not listen anymore. I'm kind of slow compared to other people, b/c I only have 200 songs and like 10 videos but whatever someday i'll take some time to fill it up with some new songs.

| missa405 (142) | 3 years ago |  I was looking at the prices a while ago and I saw that the 30gb ipods cost about the same as a 4gb(or 8gb I can't remember exactly). You should have a look at the pricing for the ipods and make an informed decision. It's great that the nanos are small and cute, but they don't hold as much music as one of the larger ones. I bet in a couple of years, all the ipods will be tiny and have much more hard drive space. Just some friendly advice.

As for mp4 player, I'm guessing you'd like to watch videos and look at pictures on it. I'd suggest you invest in an iPod if you don't want to take chances - it also plays .mp4 files, as you specified.
But, if you are looking for interesting stuff, then you might want to go with the iRiver Clix 2! I've written about what I think of it in my blog: http://www.herbsblurbs.ap... it's budget that you want, then look no further than the Creative Zen Plus. It plays videos and has (at maximum) 8gb of storage, which should be enough for a few movies.
Overall, I'd go with either an iPod or a Creative Zen Vision: M. I can't personally suggest the Zen Vision: M, but I've heard good things about it - I can say from personal experience though that the iPod is everything it is cooked up to be, and it's a wonderful device to use. It might not look too great on paper, but it really does what it's supposed to do well.
