Do you like desktop or laptop keyboards more?  

I personally prefer the layout on a PC Keyboard. But yeah, the effect on the fingers are better from the Laptop keys

I prefer a laptop keyboard as it seems to be more sensitive and just has a better overall feel when I type

We have three computers in our house. I prefer the desktop because of its large screen and large key board with soft keys. I am 64+, it is most convenient and suitable for me. The other two desktops are used by sons and daughter in laws. On Sundays and holidays my grand kids too use them. Thanks for the nice discussion.

I do not have a laptop, I work on a Desktop, with normal keyboard, ks.

Well, the laptop does have a nice sensation when you type; it makes a really funny sound when you do too, which I happen to enjoy.

As for desktop keyboards, you can get pretty much any type of keyboard! It's really flexible; you can keep those default manufacturer ones, you can get a wireless keyboard, you can get a Logitech DiNovo which is an amazing touchpad keyboard, you can get even a funky laptop-feeling keyboard which emulates the feeling of a laptop keyboard on your desktop (of course that might cost a bit more money, but still, it'd pretty cool if you're desperate for the feel).

I'd say the desktop keyboards are a lot more replaceable than the laptop ones; if a laptop keyboard breaks, I think it'd be a pretty great hassle to have to fix it (what if a key pops or something?). But you can just go out and buy a new keyboard if that happened to your desktop.

well i will prefet the desktop keyboard any day to laptop as it is big and veryt easy to handle and also it has a sep. number aad. adn the buttons are hard unl;ike laptop which looks very loosely like and i get scared to press tem hard.
