Charm Bracelets and You!  

No I have never had one but if I was to get one I would like to have Angels Fairies and Dolphins on it
And if I could a charm that looked similar to Gissi I would add that to

Oh yes - I've had one since my 10th birthday - it was a present from my parents. When I grew older I had to get some extra links put into it, as my wrist grew too fat for it, - but I do still wear it. I think it's a wonderful reminder of people and places from my past, and it makes me feel quite close to my late Mother and other family no longer around, when I wear it. As for the charms that have been collected over the years........... well, I vave a cat (what a surprise!), a Taurus the Bull which is my Astrological sign, a bear to remember my Russian heritage, a small St. Christpher, an edelweiss flower which came from a childhood family holiday in Austria, a rose for my name of course, a cannabis flower from my mis-spent teenage years (LOL!), and quite a few others! Hi cremechese, Well I do have one, but it's not very old only a few years, and I have angels, hearts, a tiny elephant all in silver. I don't wear it too often, but I love it...
I was so proud when my daughter became engaged last year, I bought her one also of silver, the bracelet itself is interlocking hearts and that was part of her wedding theme. I gave it to her with the very first charm, a little diamond ring (not real). Her husband gave her a little man & wife for it on their wedding night. She wore the bracelet on her wedding day... very special to me.
When she becomes pregnant, I will get her a baby rattle for it...

Hi Cremechese. Yes I have a charm bracelet as well and it has a number of things on it. A ladybug, a daisy, a cat, a dog, covered bridge and I can't remember what else. My mom gave me one a few years ago that my dad had given to her when he was in Korea. It has all kinds of western things on it such as a guitar, a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, a horse and a few other things. They are neat to have because you can put all the things you want or like on it. I love mine.

I don't have one or do I remember having on when I was younger. I use to wear other type of bracelets, though, a lot of them, of all types. Now I only wear a watch and maybe one bracelet if I am going out.

Girl Scouts has a new program called Studio2B. The 'award' for completing one of the interests in this new program is a charm. They can wear them on a bracelet, necklace, or a pin on their shirt or vest.
They have some really cool charms and we will be starting this next year. It is being worked in and girls can do both Studio2B, and the other traditional badges or interest projects.
Most of the girls are excited about it. I have one that has earned 2 already. I guess they really like the charms!

I have never actually owned one in my life..Im not a great big jewellery fanatic anyway. I have always been as a child a tomboy and on bikes climbing trees etcc...then later on working on cars etcc...Im sure that it would have just got in the way.

i have one which was given to me by my godmother ages ago. it has shoes around it. i still have it and planning to pass it on to my grandaughter who happens to like shoes so much.

okay, it's not a bracelet, it's an ankle chain.

the first is a little enamelled charm showing the moonphases. a full moon, a dark moon and a waxing and waning crescent.

then a hare.

then a bat with folded wings

then a lovely corset. it's really detailed, hollow through the centre and has gaps in the lacing at the back.

an oak leaf.

a heart charm that came with the anklet, that I had engraved with my initial one side and my partners the other.

a Borage flower, which I haven't got round to adding

a little Witch on a broomstick. she fell off and I need to put her back on.
