Has the thought of becoming a celebrity come into your mind? | | I am asking this question because it came into my mind. I always wanted to become a famous and successful TV Host just like Oprah. Anyway, I am only 33 and this sweet thought hasn't left my mind yet. The only thing that I need is a breakthrough. Now, where would that breakthrough come from? That is the big question....

Never really gave it much thought, since I am one that enjoys my privacy and have had no desire to become a celebrity. When I was kid I thought about it once, but it's just not for me.

jeweledbluerose (2176) | 3 years ago | Lol! Yeah I could use the money celebrities make, but just not the fame that comes along with being a celebrity. I have no use for that sort of fame.

hersmart4ever (4396) | 3 years ago | In my case, I do not have any stage fright and it seems like the stage was my other world. I had been acting for school plays before and I really love it. I also could sing well. Tsk tsk, if that break only came to me, I would grab it.

| | 3. scammerwear (614) | 3 years ago | Perhaps you should sign up for a related course on hosting a show, like public speaking or something similar. Get to know people from the arena through the course, exchange ideas and experiences. If you're lucky, they might even ask you to host an event
From there you can start doing small gigs like being a M.C. for events and roadshows. Gather some experience, make a name for yourself and fatten up that resume.
When you're confident enough, go for auditions. If there aren't any, send in a video of you hosting to every producer you can pester.
I never tried all that, but I did something similar to become a web designer, figured it works in most areas.
Best of luck!

| | 4. AmbiePam (15310) | 3 years ago | Well, didn't you start an online advice site? A lot of people have become famous through the internet. Their site gets a lot of attention, and then people want to interview them for the newspaper. A TV producer sees the news article, is intrigued, calls you up and tells you he wants to make you a star. There you go!: )

| | 6. Rozie37 (7148) | 3 years ago | Oprah did not start out being a talk show host. She had to start at the bottom just like everyone else. If you are serious about being a talk show host, I would advise you to take some Journalism courses. I took a semester of Journalism in college. If I had taken a second semester in that major, I would have recieved a press pass. This is one way to break into the field of a talk show host. I use to want to be a Journalist, but I do not like to travel at this point at all. When I was younger I wanted to be an actress, I still do sometimes. I also want to be a famous writer. But, more than anything, right now, I want to be a wife and mother.

| | 7. grecychunny26 (5109) | 3 years ago | It came to a point that i want to win from a singing contest. When i watched Singing Contest on tv, how i wished i have the oppurtunity to join, most of them has this age bracket so sadly i lost the oppurtunity,if only the show came when i am young and ready, maybe i have different oppurtunity. Becoming a celebrity have a huge advantage in this world, it is a privilege, but we all know that this kind of job is never easy, you have to be strong in this kind of industry. I wanted to try atleast once in my life, but i never reinforce myself.

| | 9. gmakesmoney (1038) | 3 years ago | I have always wanted to be famous but given all the attention that stars get, I would not want to loose my privacy in that manner. I can only imagine the stories since I'm such a clutz and I'm always bumping into things or my eyes are often teary from seasonal allergies, they'd say I was a battered woman or something. I think they make a lot of money, most celebrities in the USA make more than our President does (that position only pays $200,000 a year). I'd like the money and some of the fame but in the end I'd rather have my privacy.
