For all of you who color your own hair, a tip  | |  I have been coloring my own hair since I was 16, and for those of you who color your own hair, you know it can damage your hair alot. I read this tip in a beuty magazine and i tried it today, and it does work. They said to dump out half of the activation solution and replace it with a liquid leave in conditioner. They said your hair will not lighten as much but it will be silky smooth. Granted I did not follow those directions exactly, I left all the activator in there and put in equal amount of liquid leave in conditioner, and it worked marvelously. My hair lightened the same as always and it feels so nice, and it didnt burn as much when it was on and almost no odor. I used infusium leave in conditioner but I am sure any brand will work just as well.

| | | | | | | | 1.  3lilangels (2962) | 3 years ago |  yes that does work .also put a very little conditoner on your hair before you color,instead of dumping out the peroxide.just put alittle on your ends,so that the color can penatrate thrugh.the boxes of hair color that you buy in the store are less harm on your hair because they arent 100% peroxide,they are considered white essence which is lighter on the hair than a regular bottle of creme peroxide that you buy at a beauty store.store ones are more gentle on the hair.great topic,im a hairdresser.thanks

thanks for this information.its really gonna help me.i used to color my hair long back.but it made my hair rough and dry and had split ends also.so i stopped using it.i wanted to get the texture of my hair back.but i think i will try out ur tip and see if it really works for me or not.can you tell me if by doing so it won't damage my hair?
