Sorry Gabs, but my complaints fell on deaf ears and when I found I could not stop the madness, I decided I would rather not participate in it. I have done oh so little in the past month, mainly perusing the reports to dismiss frivolous and vengenful, leaving the trouble to others. I may have saved a few people from being frivolously deleted but not enough to stop the justified complaints and I just became frustrated with trying adn feeling powerless.

I can understand that and I admire you for doing that to the way I see it if mylot does not sort these People things will go down hill very fast
I am not here that much anymore as I am fed up with it 4 Discussion of mine have been deleted Peoples Discussions which are not against Guidelines are deleted and a few quite a few good Members are hardly here now
But we have all met up in 2 other Sites so it is not as bad
Mylot should have listened to you as I can see it going down if this carries on

Thats nothing new, all complaints seem to fall on deaf ears, but so far for me, this is still a sight that I'm making friends, and enemies at, and while I'm doing htat I'm still making a little bit of money.

But while at the same time I'm trying to get more into other sights that I have reports that are paying, and I'm trying to build a downline in Yuwie, so please condider joining that (under me-- would be nice)

But I think many are feeling the same as you....I now have no hesitation to report people who post referral links here in response to my post, or anything else, since people report me for violations,

But in fairness I have to say that mylot is changing, and if they want to keep it going and not become one big spam and referral sight then they need ot start listening to the users.

I think tney need to stop using volunteeer admins, and start taking the responsibility on themselves.

Its too easy to hit delete, bye bye problem, when the real issues are not addressed. you are so right htere.

Well I am in Yuwie to as I am not coming here that much anymore it is not worth it as Discussions get deleted for no reason so why have Discussions just ask questions they seem popular and stay

Thanks MSV, tried to check something this morning and found the log in unresponsive. I tried but it was very frustrating at times, which I demonstrated a couple times for sure but to no avail. Oh well, now I get to spend time in the yard! LOL

Yes! Praise God! The rain stopped about a week ago and now we are into a hot blistering Texas Rivierra summer! Today it's 75% humidity and 100 deg F! HighReed and I will be venturing out to the beach this evening about 4 when the sun is lower so we don't get sunburned or heat stroke! The beach is flat and the water clear so I know there are beasties there waiting for me to feed them!

Thanks Elp! Yes, it has opened up a little more time for me and there are more interesting things to be doing. Now I hope others will be vigilant and proactive but recent experience makes me wary so I will continue to repost my topics on my on site for preservation when they are of substance.

Hi KK! Yes there was a lot of abuse in the reports and it was truly tiresome. As for our MP, he is sure to present himself appropriately.

The music seems to be taking a bit more of my time these days. Having finally completed a song I worked on for a quarter century, it would seem the floodgate has opened and I am writing more, perhaps I will find a few fellows to play with eventually and of course, you will be consulted for sure! My friend Jimbo is both wanted and welcome here, no matter how he chooses to present himself because I personally like him for who he is! Perhaps I have not shown it well lately and perhaps he has stumbled across a topic in my own forum which he might have mistakenly thought was directed at him but that is not the case! I think as a friend I should probably go visit him today in his place to make sure he knows that I've just been extremely tired and busy lately and the appearance of that topic just prior to my inactivity is merely coincidence!

Greetings. Your screen name suggests that you catch onto things really quick and I hope this is the case as I would like to share some knowledge with you as I welcome you to myLot as I see you are a new member.

Short responses like the one you present here are not just against the guidelines and insufficient to earn payment but they are also not conducive to community interaction. If you have come to myLot to make money, a minimum two line response is required to qualify for earning but even with this, one would be better served as a whopper flopper at a fast food joint if earnings are the desire.

On the other hand, what is unavailable in earnings is richly rewarded with opportunities for learning and meeting new people. In this respect, those who have something of substance to say are rewarded quite well! It is in this spirit that I ask that you find subjects which interest you enough to actually warrant a worthy response as you will enjoy your time here more!

Thanks so much, I am still here and willing to help in any way I can. I think it would be good for the other mods to be more open with everyone, despite the fact that myLot would prefer they didn't. It's important for people to know who they are dealing with and to be able to ask for help when in doubt as you did. The cohesiveness of the site is dependant upon a certain measure of trust. Lately some good members have fallen away due to the very lack of trust that their efforts would not be in vain. Others have shed their identities and renewed themselves in order to escape vengeful enemies and it should not have to be that way.

When I first joined myLot, I considered that the site was a large clearinghouse for information, a future source of reference, which would be compiled by members, sorted and catalogued by admin. But then after being here a while it seemed more like a bunch of folks had simply gotten together to see what they could do in developing a site.

myLot has never really defined for us what their overall goal for the site is and it has seemed to be nothing more than a giant experiment in which programmers get interaction with a large member base in order to test their ideas. I wonder sometimes if perhaps myLot is actually the beta grounds for some larger project as the parent corporation is not a small entity by any means.

It will be interesting to see where we go from here!

I have considered this possibility as I don't get a login error unless I use other than my password and have an unresponsive screen but should it be true, I am not saddened. I have become frustrated seeing good members leave and all of the troubles. Therefore I have been posting less but I am going to hang on and see what happens!

Fear not my friend! I am not leaving the site, it would seem that I have been relieved of being a watchdog which I am okay with! I am still here and will continue to post sporadically and respond to my friends as I do now. myLot seems to me to be on the brink of some changes and I for one am looking forward to seeing what develops!

I would like to see myLot share their growth goals with us though so that we may become more involved and help to evolve the site. Right now it kinda seems like a myspace competitor but surely there is a loftier idea!

Interesting stats! After looking it over, I see the downward trend began as the secret moderators did, assuming that they all started about when I did. That tells me the idea for secret moderators was a part of the steady decline in the site since that time.

I am sure there are probably other factors as well just as the sharp increase in December was likely due to people looking for extra sources of holiday revenue as well as more people being housebound by winter conditions in the country of highest membership. There are a variety of factors that affect a site's popularity but the most important, the human factor, has been neglected in my opinion.

While the site owners can dictate what they would like to see and provide guidlelines for maintaining desired substance, any downward trend should be reviewed keeping in mind the human element. If people are happy and the site affords them the opportunity to do what they desire, they will not only stay but bring in more people. When people are unhappy, it is in the site's best interest to figure out why and rectify the situation. Anything less and suddenly the rats are jumping out of the ship, even the big ones that have the most to gain!

IMO Your assessment is very probably correct as I joined in December and the conditions were correct, weather and funds.

Thank you my dear! I have found that my own feelings about the site are highly affected by my own moods. When I am feeling down, coming here and finding something uplifting can literally change my whole day while on the other hand, seeing negativity simply reinforces how I feel at the time. Contrariwise, I have never had the site bring me down when I am feeling up as I can breeze over the negativity and settle upon what I seek.

Also I have found that each of us has a very individual reason for being here and the satisfaction of those desires determines how we percieve the site. I like to bounce my ideas off others and explore my creativity while others simply seek companionship. I think it is what we make of it and it is up to us.

I agree we all have difference reason and I am still enjoying see what my friends are up to.
BTW this discusion is the last notification I received from myLot. I habe not had a single one today, I wonder if it is just a glitcj or am I the only on with this problem?
