Who has an original 33 1/2 or 45 Beatles record?  |

|  I've heard of people buying original Yellow Submarine records for nearly $1000 on eBay. This may be an exaggerated rumor I heard, but just wondering if anyone has any old original records in their posession. Is it one you owned originally, or did you buy it? I have an original record of 'Hard Day & Night', and the original sheetmusic to 'Something'. I got the record at a garage sale for $3 and the sheet music was my aunt's, wayyyyy back in the '60's. What about you? Any other enthusiasts out there?

| |  I'm pretty sure my mother still has all of her original Beatles records. I joked with her once about selling them, and she pretty much told me that she is still using them. She almost exclusively listens to records and argues that the music is not quite the same when you listen to it on CD. I agree with her, but it is tempting to sell them sometimes!

| |  I've got an almost original of With The Beatles - think it's a 2nd or maybe 3rd pressing, still 60s but later in the decade. Got it from Oxfam - cost me a bit (but under a hundred pounds)- got a copy of a German/Dutch compilation & the Twist and Shout ep from their too but I'm not sure if they're origanals or 70s reisues.

| |  I still have a 45 of "I Want to Hold Your Hand" that my cousin passed down to me when I was a kid. I also still have vinyl copies of Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road, and the two-disc greatest hits (1962-1966 and 1967-1970.
I also still have 2 novelty things that were given to me as gifts: a picture disc pressing of Sgt. Pepper and a white vinyl pressing of "The White Album" (they're kinda cute but the sound quality on these 2 is terrible.)
I don't play any of these (I have a turntable but it's packed away in the garage) but I hang on to them...and a fair number of other LPs...just the same.

| |  I have 2 original copies of the White Album and Rubber Soul. They were given to me as gifts when I was a kid. One of each is well worn. One of each is still wrapped. I have no idea what they are worth on the market but they are priceless to me. I intend to give the unused copies to my son one day.

| | I have two old 45's one on the Vee Jay lable "From Me to you" The sir names of the writers are listed not as "Lennon-McCartney" but as "McCartney-Lennon" However the flip side is "Please Please Me" that is listed as
J. Lennon-P. McCartney
The other one is on a tollie records lable "Love me do" and "P.S. I love you" Both songs are listed as McCartney-Lennon. They have been played. | | | | | | |
