Does your furniture match?  

i love matching furniture! it looks way nicer. my dads friend has a set of the big fluffy leather coaches and a recliner to match. they sure put a room together thats for sure

I have two matching bedroom sets and thats it right now. Maybe eventually I will buy a living room set, but since I never use it, I may just pass on it...lol.

Would you believe I live in a pig sty, ORyans? LOL, only my bedroom. I do not have all matching furniture as I have eclectic tastes. I plan to get new furniture soon, but I keep telling myself there's no one here to look at it but me. I know that isn't a very good reason though. I was once told by a favorite aunt that you should always treat yourself as you would treat an honored guest in your own home. Down deep inside I know this is true. Guess I'll have to start treating myself better. What's keeping you from having what you want?

I recently renovated my house and made new furniture from the old one - the frame is the same only the upholstery has changed - so now after a long time everything in the house matches - I hope i also match the house.

Uh, gee, ORyan, most guys go through this phase in their forties, but it is usually a speedy boat or shiny car they suddenly crave. Furniture? They would have to pull my hard cold dead body out of the ground to get it in a recliner. But suit yourself. You may only have another 70 or 80 productive years left in this life form, you might as well be comfortable.

Personally, I like minimal furnishings--anything fancy makes me feel tied down.

Well matching furniture is always a good thing.. Actually all I have is a couch.. It's big enough for my husband, son and I.. One day though I would love to have a matching set, Once i am moved out of this place and into my own home.. I want to be able to buy one so I have something to call my own and when the time comes many, many years from now my son will have a home of his own too....

Well. Actually my furniture is either black or white so I guess they go together. But they aren't a set. I'm only 25...so I haven't gotten into that whole "set" thing nor do I live in a house. but if I ever get me a house, I totally want a set.

Not really. My furniture really doesn't match, but it all seems to come together. I don't care for new furniture. I like antiquing and trying to find good furniture for a good price. The newest things I have is my living room stuff. But most everything I buy is used. I enjoy finding good deals on older furniture!

Yep, all my furniture match. The only thing that doesn't match in the sitting room would be the kids 2 small chairs. They're multicoloured.

Well, I don't know if I have enough furniture to answer that question, but I've tried to make my hutch, entertainment center, and dining table/chairs match (all the wood is maple), which is no small feat, considering that I've picked up all this furniture at estate sales. I have one black leather sectional, which is all I can manage to fit in my living room. My other room has one cream leather couch, along with a maple book shelf. And then I have a bedroom set, from this cheap clapboard pasty wood chip stuff that is so cheap that you don't dare get it wet, or it'll fall apart. It matches, but so what? I'd sooner throw it all into my fireplace. I can't wait to buy up some good bedroom furniture, and even if it doesn't match exactly, at least it won't be the rickety cheap stuff I have now.
