Why is the american public excepting this?  | |  Why have we not put a stop to special interest groups, lobbyist, ear marks, and pork barrel spending?
Not to mention we still have a "do nothing" congress.

 lilwonders123 (1252) | 3 years ago | I agree. I just wonder why everyone is not pissed off about this. Lets fact it, congress learned in the last election what can happen when you piss us off. You loose your job.We vote you out. If we as a nation stop putting up with it, then they will have to change or leave public office.
I also think of it as they think they are better than us and the rules do not apply to them. They refuse to regulate themselves. They refuse to keep themselves honest. Why do I feel that I am the only one that is really sick of it. | |

And sure enough, it did not go through. You are right that the government and the "Con"gress are way too corrupt. I'm sure the public will not tolerate it and we will visibly see something sooner or later.

The majority of americans do not want amnesty of any kind. Yet they tried to pass a bill that would have it in there. We threw a fit. So they did not pass it. But they did not pass any laws about it. They asked like spoiled brats:"If I can not have it my way then I will not do anything at all".
That doesn't work with my kids so why should it work with my government. | |
