I am sorry you felt that way and i certainly am not here to minimize what you went through but many many people say things that are rude and wrong but once said little can be done ...Is it possible that the remarks where not meant to be rude but just how they saw things ..that is not an excuse but there is a big difference when you say something to intentionally hurt someone and then another time just an honest mistake. This is the place to rant because we are friends and getting things out of our system should help.Anger,upset,retaliation simply do not help..Yes if i upset someone i would apologize no doubt about that Oh well tomorrow is another day Good Luckj

At least the person apologized. I wasn't even THAT overweight at the time. I have just always had a tummy and I had gained a few pounds apparently, since the previous time that this person has seen me.

Yesterday, I was at a birthday party for a friends 1 year birthday. After I had been there a while, I realized I hadn't seen his father. I went to look for him and say "hi". I apoligized that I hadn't said hi earlier...He said that he hadn't recongized me since I had gained weight.

He was speaking in spanish and my spanish is not perfect, but between what I did understand and his body language, I knew exactly what he meant.

He's very old and he has always been a sweet man, so I wasn't angry. Just a little taken aback, I guess.

I just smiled and went back to the side of the house that I had been.

there are times that i call some people sir or ma'am by mistake but then i realize that i was wrong so i apologize and try to make it up to them. i agree with you that if people knew that they have had upset someone they would have at least apologized because that is just the right thing to do. the lady you met in the inner harbor was rude enough to just stare at you even if you proved her otherwise. but i'm thinking... maybe the music's hard that afternoon that she did not hear what you had to say? but still, for me, she should have at least made effort in hearing you out than by just staring at you. and hey, don't say sorry because you shared what happened.. and i know a lot of people here in myLot understand how you feel because things like that do happen. i hope you feel better now. take care!

I am so sorry that this person didn't have the manners to say she was sorry for mistaking you for a male. But bet she was just too embarrassed to say anything at all at that point. I don't think you could possibly be ugly or fat Mooch your writings speak of a beautiful soul. From your writings Mooch I see you as a very beautiful lady. Your daughter might have been getting tired that might have been the reason for kicking her sister. Sorry that there are so many rude people out there in this world Mooch.
