Muslim Jesus  | | | |  I just watched a very interesting documentary today regarding Jesus in the Qur'an. Not only about Jesus but also about Jesus's mother, Mary, Jesus's life, miracles, whether he was crucified or not and also about the 'anti-christ'.
Many Christians converted to Islam as they did not understand how Jesus Himself can be God in human form. How he can be degraded and killed by his own creation, humans!
Jesus ate like us, slept, relieved himself. Although the crucifixion did take place, but God through His mercy lifted Jesus into the Heavens before he was crucified. Instead, another man who God chose, changed his face to resemble Jesus was put on the cross.

No, Jesus was not crucified. But the Angels took Jesus (both body and spirit into the heavens. He will come back again, for the antichrist and will be buried next to Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) in Saudi Arabia. There is an empty grave preserved for Jesus till this day. You may have noticed, the Qur'an gives more descriptive narrations regarding Jesus and his miracles. For example, Jesus speaking from his cradle. | |  Sounds like an interesting documentary.. But from when I red the Qu'ran Jesus (pbuh) was crucified but he did not die as they thought. They got him out of his tomb, and took him to India where he healed before he returned to his disciples... People today due a similar crucifixtion ritual where they are literally nailed to the cross, one a year to share in Jesus's (pbuh) suffering all survive alright the only reason difference in how they nail them verses real crucifixtion is the nails are smaller, and its nailed through the hands and not the wrists.. but if they nailed it throught the hands as many pictures portray, then that can explain further why he was able to heal well and return as the English Translations of the Qu'ran said he did. Other religions speak of him traveling all over the world ministering.. But Then it is historically know there was also more than one Jesus (pbuh)... So one may have been crucified at the same time one ministered is why.. Jesus (pbuh) was said to have a large family of many brothers and sisters too. The Bible Makes it sound like an Angel made Jesus.. The Qu'ran makes it sound like Joseph was definately his father.
So it is interesting in Studying both religions..
I believe Jesus (pbuh) was living breathing etc, but like any other famous person in history hard to sort the myth, from the man, from the legend, from the Savior. I believe Jesus (pbuh) made more sense to me after Studying the history of the time, and Reading both the Bible and Qu'ran not just a single translation of the versions but man, as they are even translated differently... depending on the versions.

| | Some points i would like to make. You mentioned the Quran makes it sound like Joseph was father. This is so NOT TRUE. The quran does not mention Joseph at all. Joseph is only mentioned in the Quran when he was a young boy with his 11 brothers who despised him due to his father's love for him.
There is a whole chapter on mary and what happened on how she gave birth,where etc. There is no mention of Joseph at all. Mary was alone at the time.
Also, can you tell me which source you got the info from regarding Jesus (pbuh)being in India. i was not aware of Jesus having many brothers and sisters. I assume he was an only child to mary. | | | |

| | All I have Stated above I heard mentioned through Islamic Scholars. I have read three different English Translated Qu'rans that also mentioned what I stated above. However, I do not speak Arabic nor read in Arabic, and I know Muslims all say there is only one True Qu'ran but whether they like it not it is Like the Bible, Is has been translated, and slightly different versions of the Qu'ran are circulating some right some wrong. I never claim to be 100% right but I did share to you with what I heard, As a non-Muslim.

Can you name the translator as the only reliable translaters are Yusuf Ali and most reliable is' Mohammed Pickthall'. I dont know how you can claim that in the Qur'an it says Joseph was the father of Jesus. This goes against the teachings of Islam. And the so-called scholars who claim this cannot be classed as true muslims. If you can, get the scholar on mylot and i will sort out his wrong thinking. Can you pinpoint with references which verse in the qur'an mentions this. I am waiting to find out if you can show me where it says in the qur'an the above | | | |

| |  As per Islam, Iesa (Jesus) was not crucified, but raised to a dwelling place setup by God.
Jesus was born Miraculously by Maryam (mary) without contact to any men. Mary wasn't married and no relation between Yusuf(Joseph) and Mary.
Jesus talked from cradle and cured diseases of some people in his life as a Miracle, as miracles given to other prophets to prove their prophecy.
Jesus will return near to the day of Resurrection, kill Dajjal (The Anti Christ), rule in earth for some years as per God's directions and will die.
Jesus was a human as any other prophets like Abraham(Ibrahim), David(Dawood), Moses(Musa) and Mohammad.(peace be up on them)
The basic teachings of Jesus, Mohammad, david, Abraham, etc were same: To believe in one and only one God, worship him and do good deeds.
This is the concept of Iesa(Jesus) (pbuh) in Islam, and I'm a Muslim.
