what's your favorite book from your childhood  |

|  i was trying to remember books that i loved when i was young, so that my children could enjoy them too. i recently read them "the mouse and the motorcycle" and "snot stew" because i enjoyed those when i was a kid. if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

| | that's crazy because just the other day I went to my mom's and got a box of my old books I used to read as a child. I noticed some of the things I used to read and noticed I had a lot of "Baby-Sitters club" books and a lot of ghost stories, or teen age growing up stories. I will have to sit down and read a few of them on a bored day. My favorite author I could tell was Betty Ren Wright. She had great ghost mystery stories. | | | | | | |

| | I liked Sideways Stories from Wayside school, Anne of Green Gables, The Secret World of Og, The Book of Three, A Wrinkle in Time, The Middle Moffat, Meet the Austins, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh, and the Dragonriders of Pern books, to name a few.
There are quite a few good kids books out now: The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo, Holes by Louis Sachar, etc.

The Disney adaptations are awful.
