how we met  | |  i met my husband when i was 18 at a club in mexico. i live really close to mexico, and so i used to frequent the club when i was younger. aside from this, our story is cute. he waited in 7 inches of rain for me to come back and talk to him. and even though i had a boyfriend, he was constantly outdoing him by buying me a dozen roses. anyway, i only want to know how i should explain to my children about how we met. my husband says we should just tell me the truth. and i want to. i am just not exactly proud of the fact that i was 18 and drinking in the story. so i wanted to leave that part out. i told him we could just say we were there dancing and maybe when they are 21 we can tell the truth.

 ramipalo (572) | 3 years ago | people put so much strain on that when it comes to raising kids, (the lying) but don't you think it's essential when raising kids. you have to lie to them sometimes. i just don't think they will benefit from knowing that their mother was participating in underage drinking. i would like to think that when they are older and i tell them the whole truth they will not disrespect me, they will understand my point of view. | |
