which do you prefer? A Red Rose or a white rose?

I like white roses or black ones. I have no idea what the black ones mean, but they are the ones which smell the strongest

Having to choose between roses colors it is very important for others but, what if the guy who's giving it doesn't even know the meaning of colors in flowers? Don't you think it is unjust.

It is a wonder how a single bloom could embody beauty, romance, passion and a whole world of emotions. The color of flower reflects different types of emotions, making it very effective way of silent communication. I, too, prefer white roses coz it signify purity, innocence, happy love, youthfulness, heavenly, humility and reverence.

I prefer to have a red roses which is really beautiful for me! according to the color red means I am strong lol...no I'm not sure about that.

I actually prefer purple or orangy red roses, but when I'm choosing between red & white. I choose white as well. I think red roses are so ordinary nowdays. I don't really think of the meaning behind it...I just think white roses are so beautiful!! Great post!!

I like them both but I like white rose coz they are telling that it is a symbol of pure love.

I am aware that flowers have different meanings but I haven't really kept up with them so in that sense it wouldn't bother me too much.
Between a white and a red rose I think I would have to choose white because it would mean that the giver has chosen it because it is different. My partner tends to go for red because of all the cliches and thinks that I would be happy with a dozen of them whereas I would prefer to recieve the white because it is more unusual - or any nice bunch of flowers really.
For me, it really is the thought that counts.

It's funny you should ask. I like red and white roses. I am going to get married soon, and I plan to make my bouquet with red roses, white roses, red carnations, and white carnationsm, my two flags (Danish and Canadian) and a big red ribbon around it all.

white roses definitely! white rose is one of my favorites for it stands for simplicity, purity, sincerity and beauty.. i really like this flower that's why everytime my husban gives me a flower, it's surely white rose or a tulip in any color...
