Holy Smokes. One thing, why did he get word of the landlords death? I wouldn't want nor need to know of a past landlords death unless he was a friend. Anyhow. My wife and I were landlords for amny years when we lived in apartments etc. Not once can I recall ever revealing any info as far as credit or personal refreneces yet alone criminal records. That's a bit out of line to say the least. He should have been reported to the managemnet company or whomever he answered to. If he owned the place then he should have been reported to the better business bureau. This is way out of line for one in charge so to speak of peoples personal lives. I don't feel sorry he died either and I don't even know this man. Have a great day/evening.

I can not blame you. he was so judgemental and as if we can not change our ways. There are people who will bring into their graves the bad vibes they have with other people.

with all that he caused you? who am i to tell and jugde you on what you should feel or not..i cant blame you nor am i blaming you for feeling that way..he suck up your life and thats it..but your right still..he is dead now and cannot do you harm again..and needless to say we should give him a lil respect at least even if he did not respected you and all..he suffered from what he had caused you and he may have caused others..i respect your feelings after all what he did.

Mooch, there's no reason for you NOT to feel this way! You're a human being, even though this man certainly didn't treat you like one, so it wouldn't be normal for you to feel any other way! I think it says alot more about you as a person for you to express your true feelings rather than to say "Ooh, I feel so bad, I said bad things about this poor man, but I didn't want this to happen,...blah, blah, blah..." We've probably all seen situations like that before. You say you know you should be respectful; respect is something that should be earned, not given automatically. This man was clearly not a very nice person and being dead doesn't change that, Mooch. He did things that were unethical and maybe even illegal. When someone is able to get information on others under certain circumstances isn't some of that information supposed to be confidential? I know when I delivered mail there was such a thing as "Confidentiality if the U.S. Mail" that stated we were not allowed to talk about private business we may be privy to through delivering certified letters and things like that. In other words, we were not supposed to go around and tell about someone not paying their taxes or being taken to court over something. Anyway, this man was cruel and unfair to you and no doubt disrupted your life. Who wouldn't feel some joy over his not being able to hurt you anymore? If he'd lived to be 100 you'd never have gotten that "I'm sorry" out of him! I've always wanted to believe what goes around comes around...or is it the other way around...LOL. Everyone gets "theirs" one way or another, one time or another. His time has come and if there is a heaven and hell I guess we know where he is now! Dont's waste your guilt or grief on the likes of this man. Cheer up!

I am sorry this has happened to you but i donot thing it is healthy mood for all those pent up emotions .As i have mentioned a few times i have Cancer stage IV and i hope and pray there is no one out there that will be happen when i am called to my next life. Sad to say but we all have a few persons that turn our blood pressure on ..Hearing your side of the story you have my sympathy and I hope the next landlord is more to your likening Remind me never to get on your bad side Good Luck

After reading the situation I do not blame you for feeling that way at all. How did your husband receive this notice. Sorry, I have to ask because it just seems a bit odd to me that someone would get notice about an ex landlord. I can not say that if I were in your shoes that I would not feel the same way that you do.

Oh wow if he did that to me I would feel the same way you do. What a evil man! You have every right to not be sad for this person that died. Why would you be sad that this man died? Your acting like any human being would.

wow, i think i have that much anger towards my father in law and that the day he passes i won't be sad! maybe sad for my husband but not b/c he passed!IMO wut he did was wrong, so u have every right to feel the way u do!

of course I do agree that it is a mistake being happy because a person died. but I am also the sort of person who thinks that death doesn't cancel all the bad things one did in his or her life. I am not in favour of the old way of saying...he or she was a good soul, after all. we all have to die and a death is always a sad thing and ask for respect because there are people who are grieving and a life is over but....I repeat this doesn't mean we have to forget all the pain a person caused...there is only a fact..time passes and if we survive...well we can always find something to learn from our life..this happened to me at least! I am sorry about what happened to him because he suffered but I am also sorry that you had to go through all this pain and sorrow! I hope you are feeling better now and that you can forget all the bad things..this is the only way to live...
