Last night my cat wanted her midnight snack  

my cat is totally like that...she meows extra loud and climbs all over you when she wants food...its pretty funny really!

My beagle Buster is the same way. he knows the time it seems as we see him staring out the window as we arrive at night from getting my wife from her job. He has to be told, "Want to visit?" Then he runs to our couch for his lvoing belly rubs and petting. Then he gets a treat. If we forget he will follow our every step tille he visits and gets a treat. He is made to do a trick or three for the treats though.

Ohhh how cute! They do know how to tell time.. they have some kind of internal clock, I am sure of that. My Ivan always waits patiently for his scrambled egg every morning. If I don't get up and start cooking it he sits there at the entrance of the kitchen looking at me with that look... "Are you going to fix my breakfast?"

I donot understand how so many people get hooked on cats I am not a cat lover but i do like dogs especially chihuahuas ..we have 3 and I do feel about them like you do your cat.The dogs know when it is feeding time and their schedule is easily met Good Luck

And they, whoever "they" are say animals are dumb--what a laugh. For beings that can't look at a clock, it's amazing how they know the time. My cats are very quiet, they don't meow much, but if they want something like eats, boy do they let me know. Sometimes I'll sleep a little later than usual in the morning, and my Pyewacket makes it all to clear that, "Hey mom,...time to get up and feed me.." He'll butt his head hard against my cheek and won't stop until I get up to feed him...

Cats really seem to have an inner clock when yours is asking for his midnight snack and even waking you up. I wish I could have seen and heard this procedure, it sounds so cute. I bet your cat has a special meow to remind you of that snack thing.

I always have dry dog food out for my dog, so if she gets hungry, she will eat it, but boy, when it is time for me to cook, she lets me know! lol

I totally know what you are talking about. Right before my girlfriend and I go to bed we bring a class of water with us. Then there is my cat sitting on my pillow waiting for the glass, she thinks this water is for her. Everynight it is the same thing, we now bring two glasses. Its funny the things they do!

My cats are spoiled too. They get their treats (Temptations) every morning and every night, all seven cats that is. lol My dogs get a milk bone and a couple of soft treats every day twice a day too. Isn't it fun spoiling them? I figure this, they give me so much joy so why not give them some joy right back?

Awww. My mom's cat - the one she stole from me - has an inner timer too. She gets up early in the morning and gives her cats - now just one - a little bit of wet food. One morning she woke up earlier then usual and since then - until he passed - he never let her forget it - walking up and down her body as she sleeps, rubbing his face against hers, nudging at her with his head - you know head butting her....I miss him........... :(
