Living with a Bi-Polar spouse  | |  My wife is Bi-Polar and we have been together 38 years. At times I was ready to pull the hair out of my head. A lot of times I felt like running Away. And more then once I went someplace quite and screamed at the top of my lungs. Then I came back and was ready to stand steadfast with her and help her as much as possible. As far as I'm concerned all the spouses of a bi-polar mate deserve a degree in psychology, psychatry and therapy. For we have to be all these things each and every day.
How many other my lotters have a Bi-Polar spouse and how have you been able to cope with your spouse?

My uncle was diagnosed a few years back with MS. He still seems OK, it hasn't started to take full effect, though you can see it does effect him in ways. It shows a scary window into the future that I am very sad to see. I love him dearly, and to see him and his full of life way can be so inspiring but at the same time sad too. He has 6 children ranging from aged 9 to the 7th on the way. You can see he loves every minute with them.
38 years is an inspiration in itself, I have been with my partner 10 years and we have 3 children. You do deserve recognition for your unselfish nature. Stay strong seems such a worthless saying sometimes but I can find no other way to say it. You are also an inspiration. x x x
