Do you grind your own | | I love coffee. I am lost if I do not have at least a cup in the morning. I cannot however stand the maxwell house and folgers that are preground and have been in that can for god only knows how long. I much prefer to buy the whole beans and grind them myself. I think it makes for a much better cup of coffee. so my question is do you grind your own beans or buy the preground?

It's a matter of convenience, sometimes I have a moment when I can heat and grind coffee beans, and sometimes, the pre-ground is simply faster...
But no matter which one I use, I always take the time to brew my coffee- that drip stuff never really worked for me!:)
I like my coffee strong and full-flavored, that why I re-heat ny beans and brew the grinds slowly in a percolator (with egg shells to cut the acid)
Even canned coffee will taste much better with this method, coffee that been sitting around in a metal can, will become bitter with acid- clean eggshells are alkaline, which will neutralise this acid...
No reason for your coffee to ever be bitter again!:)
BTW: Dried beans will do the same thing as eggshells- just add a handful to your coffee water and see for yourself!:)
Since you are obviously and intelligent and thoughful Human who love my favorite beverage, I going to introduce you to Coffee Geek: http://www.coffeegeek.com/
Have a great day!:)
