My baby's birthday is coming up!

My baby just turned one year old last June. I come with a garden party with Barney and Friends characters as the theme. With a clown, ice cream cart, balloon decors and other giveaways for the invitees.

For the food, children loves spaghetti, fried chicken, pastries, bread, juice and hotdog on sticks. We served specialties for the the adults.

But unfortunately, we experienced a whole day brownout in our area on that very day. My party should start at around 4pm but still we don't have yet electricity at that time. Good thing I have rented a clown and he made everything possible, still the show must go on..even though without a sound system and lights. I was unable to use the bubble dispenser that would give add to the excited for the kids.

This is the most memorable party that I've ever experienced, I planned this for almost three months for my only child.

All I can say be prepared, make a list of everything that might be needed for the party, assign some task to take charge of some details of your party. Just a few tips, hope it would help you.

Write a list or lists. Pack everything in a box and check off the list as you pack. Make sure everything you bring to the party is in the boxes and that you don't forget the boxes. You could do a "dry run" or pretend party hours before and see if you are missing anything, then you could run back and get it or go out and purchase it.

We do all that camping in our back yard before we go camping somewhere else.

We celebrate my sisters child's birthday very nicely. All things were preplanned. First of all make a list of your relatives and others so that you can contact them and invite for this function. After contacting all people you will get idea about how many are attending the function and make all the arrangements. After this you won,t be any problem Carry on with confidence

I don't know how old your child will be but if it's only a first birthday or something then you don't want to go too crazy, they wont remember the day anyway & will be happy with anything they receive.
We had a small family gathering at my parent's place for my daughter's first birthday this year - my daughter opened all her presents first, then we sang Happy Birthday for her while she got to attack her cake! Then after she had some lunch & cake, she played with her toys & went to sleep.
Just try & keep it as simple as possible, children like attention, playing with things & food so as long as you have those things, your child will be happy.
