is Rowlings being buddhist in a sense?  | |  at times, i feel that she wanted to have Harry dead at the end due to a certain Buddhist thinking of good and bad have to exist together. i mean she wanted to change the cliches of good always prevailing at the death of evil and wanted to bring the ideology of the co-existence of good and bad for the functioning of the world.But i also think that she then may have changed it due to commercial pressure or pressure from fans. what do you think? am i exaggerating?

One thing about writers or anyone who is creatively motivated is that they aren't keen on changing their works to suit others. I truly believe that the original outcome which she intended did indeed come to fruition, with a few minor changes in the destinies of a couple of characters, ie., the reprieved one and the originally unintended deaths. This is just my opinion, but you did bring about a good topic for discussion.
