spider with spots  | |  If a medium-size black spider with three yellow spots lined up on its back appeared in your dining room and then disappeared while you were looking for something to use to catch it, would you look for it? I've looked at so many spider pictures I can't stand to see another, but haven't found one that looks like the one I saw. Now I don't know whether to worry.

But the good side is that most spiders are not interested in humans and prefer to stay away from us. Did you know that statistic show that a human is never more than about 3 ft away from a spider at any given time, I read this somewhere or heard it on TV. If you are still worried I would try searching on poisonous spiders for the area, state or region where you live to narrow down your search, if you haven't approached the search that way already.

When I checked poisonous ones, I found a picture of one that looked kind of like it, only had 6 spots instead of 3. It's called a garden spider! Maybe it has found a garden by now and just took a wrong turn and wound up in my dining room earlier. | |
