Happy Grandparents Day!!!  

While I am not a Grandparent yet, (thank God) I am a great Aunt, soon to be twice. I wonder if there is a day for that. Should be, it has aged me just as much as being a grandparent cause let me tell ya I changed these guys diapers when they were babies and now they have babies of there own, LOL.

Anyway I would also like to say HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY to all of our Grandparent mylotters!

Thank you spirit, I am a bit nostolgic right at the moment. I am thinking of my own grandparents that are long gone from this world. I only knew my grandfather on my mom's side and my grandma on my dad's side. My dad's dad died before I was born, and my mom's mom died when I was 2, so I have no recollection of them. My dad's mom was stricken with something akin to Alzheimer's from the birth of her last child. She was senile from then on till she died in her 80's. My grandfather on my mom's side I knew and loved. I was named after him --the feminine of Charles. I am thinking a lot of my grandparents, and without them I wouldn't be here now. That's awesome. I was just thinking if we went back through grandparent's pasts to their descendants if any one even 1000 years ago didn't have a specific child, you or i might not be here now talking to each other on mylot.

Oh is today grandparents day? It is not so big as mother and father's day, so it slips past me every year..lol

OMG IS THAT TODAY???I dont generally keep track of that sort of thing since I dont have any Grandparents myself but my kids have their dads parents still and my husbands mom....Jeez I'm glad I came across this thread!!
