do u like to find out the gender of your baby? or do u wait til s/he is born? |

for both my kids I wanted to find out, I couldn't wait I was too excited. Plus I wanted to know what to buy for him/her. My youngest son's father didn't want to know though, he wanted to be surprised, but I won that argument lol. but even if we both agreed to wait for the surprise, the doctor didn't give us that option, she just said what he was, instead of asking if we wanted to know. but I already knew what he was before she told us because I could see him.

1. BuntingB (1041) | 3 years ago | I waited for when my daughter was born to find out. It was great. People bought her clothes in green and yellow and red. Even at the baby shower the cake was half pink and half blue.

2. kimberlyjt (939) | 3 years ago | I wanted to know. I think it is nice to know so you can better prepare for the little ones arrival. My inlaws are pregnant for the first time and they don't plan on find out if its a boy or girl.

4. ravinskye (6253) | 3 years ago | for all three of our kids i wanted to know. but for the first two i didn't know for sure. so my first one was a surprise. My second one they said they thought it was a girl so we kind of didn't know, but it did turn out to be a girl. with our third one they were able to tell us it was a boy. we were so excited to finally have our boy. I liked finding out better because like you said then i knew what clothes to buy.

workenmom (675) | 3 years ago | I thought this last one was a girl, I was hoping he would be, but i really thought because I was carrying like my mom was when she was pregnant with me, and I even acted the same, his mom even thought we were having a girl so much so that she started knitting pink clothes. when I found out I was having a boy I cryed, not that I wasn't excited for having another boy, It's just I really thought he'd be a girl and got so excited over it. but I wouldn't change anything for the world.

7. violeta_va (1982) | 3 years ago | I was asked for my son if I wanted to know or not and I decided that I wanted to know what the baby was, and in a way I regret that because it took aout the suprise for me the only thing I was thinking of was is it healthy or not and to me now it seemes unnatural somehow, not to have thet excitement when the baby is born. I dont think in any way that people should not be told I uderstand it perfectly why we all do it but I decided that for me it would have been better if I didnt know. One thing I did was that I only told my closes family that It was going to be a boy so everyone got the suprise or whatever you want to call it. Anyway apart from medical reasons I dont want to know the gender of any future kids that I might have.

8. moneyandgc (3083) | 3 years ago | I am not good at waiting or with surprises. I am totally a planner! I have four children and I found out every single time. They all had their names picked out ahead of time. They had gender specific clothing and their nurseries were all done before they were born.

9. CatsandDogs (5147) | 3 years ago | I can't have kids but I sure did want to but it just wasn't meant to be. However I'm stuck in the middle of the decision because in a way I would want to know and in other ways I don't want to know for I like the element of surprise, especially when going through all that labor, the surprise would make it all the more better and of course the cuddley baby to hold and love.
