I do remember studying about serendipity,I think it was serendipity pattern that we did.....This word sounds different from most other English words isn't it?
Serendipity is when you accidently discover something when looking for something else,and which is more useful.
I think most scietific discoveries are based on serendipity..Like Newton discovering the law of gravitation when an apple fell on his head, How Archimedes discovered the specific gravity when he lay down in a tub full of water,and water equal to the weight of his body mass fell out of the tub.....
I remember a famous saying which best describes serendipity, "it is like looking for a needle in a hay stack and finding the farmer's daughter"....
