Do You Buy DVD Box Sets of Your Favourite TV Series Home? |
| |
| If you love a TV series, would you buy the DVD box sets home and watch them all over again and again later? I do. Currently I own Ally McBeal and Sex & The City box sets and when I am bored or something, I will take them out and watch them again. One of my friends is a collector as well and he owns so many DVD box sets which is amazing (sometimes we will borrow from him *smiles*). We love owning the box sets because we could watch them again and we could watch them according to our own pace. What about you? If so, which TV series do you own? | | | | | |

| | Not long ago I completed my collection of all the Friends DVD boxed sets and have now bought a couple of Ally McBeal seasons. I have bought a few seasons of Dallas too LOL remember that? I also have almost all of the series of Spooks which is British spy drama which I really love. I do aim to continue collecting the shows that I love and used to love. | | | | | | |

| | I own every single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. =P We also have one season of Angel, one season of Highlander, a few seasons of Will & Grace, some Beast Wars, some Gen 1 Transformers, two seasons of Spongebob Squarepants, and tons of anime, such as Ranma 1/2, Fruits Basket, Fughigi Yuugi, etc. If I had more money, I would own box sets of just about every show I've ever liked. However, I don't really have the money for that. I do have episodes of many of my favorite tv shows on the computer though, such as Scrubs. I would love to be able to buy the box sets instead of downloading, but honestly I just can't afford it most of the time. Most of the box sets I mentioned above were bought secondhand, or on sale. | | | | | | |

| | Yes they could be pricey! I only bought my Ally McBeal when they were on sudden sale! But I had to fast myself for a month for that! | | | |

| | Oh I do. I've got S1-6 of CSI S1-4 of Nip/Tuck S1-6 of The Shield S1 of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman All seasons of MacGyver, Due South and Saved By the Bell: The College Years (I'm a dork). S1 of Grey's Anatomy I'd love to get my hands on seasons 2 and 3 of Grey's Anatomy, but they are so expensive. There are quite a few shows I wish would be released on DVD: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, Providence (the whole series, not just a "best of" the eps), Chicago Hope, | | | | | | |

| | I bought the entire 5 box sets series of the sci fi series Babylon 5. It takes two weeks to watch them all back to back, no other TV or PC distractions, from the moment you wake until you fall asleep. I know , I've done it!! I have wrote a couple of reviews on the Ciao site which you can access via my Blog site http://thetaoofblog-pablothehat.blogspot.com/ The first is the pilot then the first series box set. I have the second series review article in the pipe, but I have been spending far too much time here on myLot. LOL Have a look and let me know what you think. | | | | | | |

| | We haven't had time yet to experience boredom, so not exactly. But we have TIVO so we can tell it to look out for our favorite things and record them for us if they air. We record things like Creature Comforts, a funny clay-animated film where pairs of animals talk about their relationships. It is produced by the company that put out Wallace and Gromit. Although we didn't think The Curse of the Were-Rabbit was very good, we love A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, and A Close Shave. Actually, if you cannot view this where you are, they have an excerpt from The Wrong Trousers (the train chase) available for free viewing on their web page: http://www.wallaceandgromit.com/ Enjoy! | | | | | | |

| | I have the first season of House on DVD; which is pretty much the only box set DVD that I own in the first place. These days I can drive down to Blockbuster and rent boxsets of popular or current television shows. (Which can either be a curse or a blessing.) | | | | | | |

| | Oh that's really fun to collect what you loved when you were a kid/ younger. I wanted to get this one series of Cartoon which I was absolutely crazy about when I was little *laughs*. But they are not available on DVDs, they are available in another format (actually cheaper too!). I think I will get that when I get the new job! I would love to be able to watch that again when I am OLD! | | | |
