Eye Catching Ads on myLot  |

 Hello myLotters! I have noticed the ads for merchandise which present at the top of every page when visiting myLot. I happen to love them, even though I cannot purchase these items, I really love the fact that they are geared toward my interests and I also find them most inspiring at times. I enjoy this as a sort of window shopping and it makes my experience here at myLot even more interesting and fun! I think it is an exceptionally good way to sell and advertise, but also occupies my interests. Do any other myLotters have any comments regarding these advertisements presented to you?

| 12. vmks31 (7459) | 3 years ago | I have been surfing for years and i must say i agree What to me is remarkable is that the adds do focus on my interests and things from our area ..especially for a Toronto boy The Jays,Leafs and dvds(My hobby purchasing dvds tv series and i have spent about $10,000 in last 3 years for seasons that i will never have time to view but that is what addiction. I will not buy from Ebay ever again because prices are great but the S&H charges are ridiculous ..example Vince Carter NBA bubble doll 99cents S&H $49.99

Thank you for your interest in my question for discussion here. That is great that you thought so too, that the ads are really well geared toward us and our many interests. I, too, am amazed at how they come up with the combinatios of interests too. Very slick indeed.
And yes, for you, a fellow that wouldn't be easily swayed I can imagine, they must be good to catch your eye.
I must say that is rather a big lump of money their shelled out by you for your hobbie, but you can't buy enough of what you like, that is clear.
Yes, the shipping and handling of buying online can be a real killer.
LOL @ shovelling off...I love it..seems like that is all I am doing lately and well to be honest, am quite adept at it! Haha vmks!

and marketeers are doing a lot of thing to market their product, or to get the attention of the customers, anyway
In mylot there are lots of ad contests but i havent taken part in it . companies like zega, intel, apple, harley davidson, OCC etc ..have dynamic marketing strategies and its fun too. and some comoanies waste customers time by sending out falso messages ..
anyway keep posting

And yes, sometimes it is just more organized if you can log into the site of ebay directly, I understand for then you can search for exactly what you want specifically. I like your line of thought, as it is very much a concentrated effort and way of doing things.

| 15. eliezl (269) | 3 years ago |  yes i noticed that too and theyre of my interest also. still i dont click them no matter how eye catching due to my bad experience one time in friendster wherein i clicked a very entincing ad and it turned out to be a virus which completely damaged my pc and had it crashed. it was really time consuming and very annoying with many ads popping up everytime i open the explorer. and for that reason ive learned my experience to be always careful on what i click on the net.=)

But then, i have checked out those advertisements and see myself what's behind those ads. But then i didn't continue to join those ads coz it has a membership fee.

Thank you for your reply to my question for discussion here. Yes, a lot of the links from ads do have some sort of fee involved to join or really can lead you anywhere. Luckily, we have the choice or not to move out and away from them!

I have noticed that when I add something new...there they are pop up ads to reflect that. As you payouts increase you might just be able to buy something they are offering. I haven't done that out of my payouts yet...but I might somewhere down the road just for the fun of it.
So yes, I think the advertisements, referral links to other informative site, friendships and of course some earning all contribute to making Mylot land a wonderful community.
