should the man always pay the bill when dating a woman. is it in your country

I think a lot of women do expect a man to pay the bill as least I know most of my friends do but I have never been this way, I am very independent and always insist that I be allowed to pay the next time...

In my country... it is a must that the man pay for the expenses when they go out on a date...a man is a gentleman if he pays even if the girl was the one to ask him out on a date... but that rarely happens... but if it is like a friendly outing or going out without any commitment... it is okay for the woman to give her share of the expenses...

It is a common happening in Malaysia. Where man always pay the bill when dating a woman. Personally for me, it does not matter me on this matter. The best way is, woman give the money to man before meeting and after meeting the same money will be used to pay the bills, ain't you BLUEWAVES..? HA!..HA!..HA!..HA!..HA!

usually, here in our place, its the guy that pays the bill. they said its a sign of gentlemanliness. but now, people are moe open-minded and women don't mind if they pay the bill sometimes or share it with the guy.
for me, during the courting stage, I prefer if the guy pays the bill. having me to share or pay the whole bill on a date would turn me off and i'd stop going out with him. for me, paying the bill is part of impressing the girl and pleasing her. now if we're already going steady, i'd be open to share or pay the whole bill. sometimes its nice to treat the guy and make him feel special as a boyfriend.^__^

Well, while in a new relationships or first or second dating it looks as well as feels good while man pays. But after being close and going out for a while I think it will be helpful as well as good when woman pays too. It should be mutual. In my relationship I pay up when I have and he does when he has. I think it's all about understanding.

I think its fine for women to pay for a meal. Many times the man asks the woman out, so then usually pays for it. In my family, a female doesn't ask the man out first, but think many of my friends think that is strange. Its how I grew up and my daughters waited to be asked out.

Out of respect, the man should ALWAYS pay for all expenses. Even if the woman offers. Men should act as providers. No matter what stage the relationship is. It's okay if a woman pays, but still, a real man would pay all the time.

Usually the man still pays for the date, but not always. Sometimes we've each paid our own way. Sometimes I've paid for both of us. Sometimes he's paid for both of us. It depends on income levels, who invited whom to what, if the date is a present for some special day, etc.

Usually the man pays for the date, and the flowers, and the gifts on birthdays, and the gifts on valentines, and whims. It happens all over.

Just follow the wave, if at first she said out, "I'm gonna treat you this time". Let her, it's a chance to show you are really sharing her as partner. Don't afraid of being look-low, if she really loves you, she never will be like that. Because if you let her do so, she will respect you much better, inside her told her you are a real partner.

So flexibility is important in here. But don't make him paid too often. In nature, we play the payee role. Besides, if women is really loves you, he would budgeting you by following her will to go to eat at expensive restaurants every times. If you are rich, it won't be a matter. But if you are a one-month salary finished with just 1 time going to eat, you will need to re-consider your relationship. Real woman loves you won't push you out from the edge of cliff.:)
