The Goldman Family vendetta against Simpson email this discussion to a friend?

st some point in time The Goldman family is going to have to realize that they are not going to see the bulk of what is owed to them by O.J. Simpson.

This dragging him to court all the time just isn't worth it financially or doing them any good. On paper they are owed a whole heap of money still by Simpson, and while it would NOT surprise me if he has money hidden around the world in various accounts, so far no one has found that money or those accounts.

His football pension is untouchable, and from what I hear not that much compared to what he owes.

I searched his name on Ebay, and while there are a 'few' items, I have to say right now that most of the items on ebay are not selling for much, and nothing that I saw on there, even autographed items, are topping 100.00.

The new book is selling left and right on ebay, for 10-15.00 a sale. So they will get some money from this, but I have to say right now, that I don't agree with the book at all.

Now the Goldman's are taking Simpson back to court to get the memorabilia that was 'stolen' from Simpson, that he tried to steal back. Ok, I don't agree with this whole scenario, but I think ALL parties involved should pay for it, if there was more than one crime committed.

I think at some point the Goldman family needs to try to let themselves grieve and stop trying to get something that isn't there......money.

Guilty or not guilty, I don't know, but I think if he did not commit the actual murders that he knows who did--kind of a murder for hire type thing.

Truthfully I'm kind of tired of this whole Simpson/Goldman feud. The hatred towards Simpson will probably carry on into future generations and against his kids, I hope not because they are the innocent ones.

Imagine what they are going through and the teasing and stories that they have to endure about their father.

At some point this whole thing needs to end.

Personally, I think that once a person is found not guilty in criminal court, a civil case should not be allowed to be filed. It seems too much like double jeopardy to me, and trying someone twice for the same crime. So, I don't think the Goldmans should have been able to file their suit, much less have been awarded millions. Having said that, since they WERE given that judgment against Simpson, I think they should pursue every possible avenue to make him pay his legal obligation to them.

I'm hoping that he gets convicted in this current case, and gets the book thrown at him, meaning he spends thirty years in prison. That will provide at least SOME measure of justice.

I am sure that I cannot comprehend the grief of a family who has lost a loved one in this way. Although I don't think that the Goldmans believe they will be compensated for this loss by getting money, I do think that they are seeking peace through revenge and that is never possible. In fact, they are only prolonging their own agony this way. I think that it may not be possible to be compensated for the loss of your son in this way, not even if the guilty party were caught, tried and punished by law. You still will have that aching hole in your heart. But to fill that hole with hatred and vengefulness can only harm you. I know that they believe OJ is guilt and they believe that he needs to be punished, but they are only punishing themselves by not allowing wounds to close.

As for OJ's children, I don't think anyone will hate them. I think there is a great sadness for them, and wondering what they think and how they feel and if they know anything true about their mother or only what they hear, how much losing her affected them and if they can ever be whole. They must know how people think and they must have their doubts about their father, and they must also have to try to reconcile their love for their mother and their love for their father while still wondering if he is responsible for her death.

The robbery charges are totally separate, and the law will deal with all that. For the Goldmans to seize one more opportunity to try to wrest something of value from OJ is not going to help them in any way. I wish they could find peace.

I agree taht they are probably wasting their time trying to get money from OJ, but I think they have reasons other than wanting money for doing it. If I were in that situation, I think my feeling would be to not let him think it is forgotten, that he is off the hook, or that he will ever have a moment's peace without having paid his debt. With this book, and talk of a TV show, he seems to think that this is all about entertainment and not about two people being murdered. I think they also want to make sure that he doesn't profit from the book or TV show, that the money goes to pay the debt.

I heard some of Nicole Brown's family talking about using the money to help battered women, so I hope they do get the money to help such a worthy cause. However, I think it is sickening to make a book or TV show for entertainment purposes, and for profit, considering that it is all because two people were murdered.

There are other ways to let someone know that something isn't forgotten, than the way its being handled by the Goldman's

I don't think the book should have ever been written, or published

And I hope Nicole Brown's family follows through with their promise of using the money for battered women.

But whatever they want to do, there are better ways of doing this than keeping dragging him back to court for money that he doesn't have.

Yes, there are better ways, but I think it is hard to judge a person who is in the situation they are in. Their son was murdered, the person they believe did it is now in a position to profit from the murder. That would make me fuming mad, so I may not act rationally. I would also do everything I can do to make sure he never gets to spend a dime of the money he gets from that book.

I agree the book should never have been published. But a lot of things have happened that shouldn't have. All there is to do now is to react to those things.

To be honest, I think with all the garbage going on in Simpson's life, I don't think the Goldmans will ever get what is owed to them, not by a long shot. But I'm starting to think that they are as spotlight hungry as Simpson is, so they are keeping things going to be in the press as much as for the attempt to gain what is owed to them. I think it all just needs to fade away and soon. I think the kids are probably the ones bearing the brunt of the embarrassment and pain in this whole thing, and they don't deserve to have to go through that.

I feel sorry for the kids. As far as I am concerned the adults can take care of themselves however they can. I could care less if OJ goes to prison or whatever... but I do feel for the kids.

Amen! I believe that the Goldmans and the Browns will keep re-opening wounds if they don't find a way to let it go. The greiving process will never be over if they keep this up.

I'm not sure I'd go to the lengths the Goldmans have, but I do think I'd do my darnedest to be a constant reminder in this guy's face. It's hard to say what you'd do in these circumstances.

I feel sorry for Simpson's children because he seems to have no conscience about anything he does.

I'm with you, Mooch, it is time for this whole thing to end. I have a real problem with the Goldman family, at first they didn't want the book to be published at all (I agree wholehearedly!) but now that it was ruled they can have the money made from it it's suddenly OK. If it was too painful for the innocent children when someone else was going to benefit how is it NOT too painful when the Goldmans will benefit? I saw a few interviews with Denise Brown and she is understandably very upset about this and I don't blame her. I hadn't heard about the money going for battered women but I hope it does, that would certainly be a worthwhile cause. I'm sorry if it upsets anyone but I've had the feeling all along Fred Goldman was mostly interested in the money and his "15 minutes of fame" which will now soon be 15 years.

"Truthfully I'm kind of tired of this whole Simpson/Goldman feud."
I can't agree with you more.
I am so very, very tired of the whole thing.
And further more I don't care who killed who or who owes what to who.
"At some point this whole thing needs to end."
Now on the part of their kids, I do feel bad for the kids, not only did they lose a mom but a whole extended family.
The family is there but ignoring the kids like they had something to do with the whole thing. too sad.
I don't see that anyone would TEASE the kids. Susan

I don't think they are going to get all the monies that was awarded to them. I do believe they like the attention they are getting. I don't see the Browns out there trying to obtain O.J monies. I do understand their hurt, and I do believe O.J killed those people or he knows who did it.
