Did anyone watch K-ville last night?  | |  I'm really interested in hearing from people form New Orleans or those that have lived there. I lived there off and on for about 20 years. As in all shows there is no riverfront casino, Maybe they weren't allowed to use the Harrahs name on the show. I guess it may have been believable on some levels. I do know after the storm hit there were some NOPD going around with shotguns blasting the locks off of local stores so people could get in and get what they needed to survive. So I send my thanks out to them. The national guard was useless they were walking around with guns glaring at people instead of handing out food and water like was needed. I personally am going to wait until it gets further on in the season before i make a real decision on whether or not the show is any good or not. I must say that corruption runs high in New Orleans so I guess the story line was a little believable but I think it's a little much.

I have liked Anthony Anderson for a while and adored him in his role as gang leader Antwon Mitchell in The Shield. I'm looking forward to watching it tonight just to see what it's all about. IMO, it's one of the more promising shows debuting this fall. "Cane" is another one I'm looking forward to.

| | 2.  inncnt_gurl (1990) | 3 years ago |  well i am from new orleans. have lived here about 18 years. and i also watch k-ville. i think its interesting to see new orleans all over the show.. and there is indeed alot of corruption here. all the stuff that has happened in the show could possibly really happen...its specifically a show. it has no realness to what life is like here in new orleans after the storm. i will keep watching the show.. cuz i like to see new orleans on tv lol. they just use certain facts with the show that i have noticed.. like hmmm abandoned houses... the whole factor of the bulldozing houses to make a green area.. which is what it was supposed to be before...(this is what they said.. i am not condoning it whatsoever) it is a common debate here. one thing from the other nights show... i dont know much about gangs lol...but do we really have the latin kings?? and is there area really where they were showing? thats what gets me.. i might find out some stuff i never knew about. what i think would be TOTALLY cool is if they show around my neighborhood lol that would be insane. but they wont.. but oh well lol
