1. jend80 (1555) | 3 years ago | amazing that this old footage has survived - technology is wonderful.
That song's not really my style, bit too much of a country cliche (mind he probably created the cliche) but he could really sing.
and that duet - how much passion is he putting into that performance?
this is a good clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32tcvdd4SCI - Hank doesn't look like he believes what he's singing;-)
I didn't know he wrote I Saw The Light - The The had a dark american gothic version in the 90s

i love Hank Williams also.He is my idol and i love his music.especially the song called,"Beyond the sunset".that song is so sad.here is a list of songs that i love by him the most: Beyond the sunset Dear Brother your cheating heart Why don't you love me I'm so Lomesome i could cry
i provided another link RLF.but this vid has Roy Acuff and his band singing first and than i think Hank comes in next.i've watched this one for many times. It's pretty good.hope you like it.:) there's so many songs by Hank that is great, and true to the heart that it is unbelieveable. But one is one of my favorites called, "The tramp on the street".

Thai_Guy (676) | 3 years ago | yes he did RLF do walking the floor over you.that was a biggie back than too.:) i love Hank, and think he sings great to the heart.what do you think about the song called,"Beyond the sunset, and Dear Brother"? those two are about the saddest songs i've ever heard in my life.it is sadder than Steve Wariner's song,"Holes in the floor of heaven".

RLFinNash (5721) | 3 years ago | i am not familiar with those other two songs by Hank Williams, but i have probably heard them before down the line somewhere. hagd.

Thai_Guy (676) | 3 years ago | "Beyond the sunset"By Hank Williams should you go first and i remain to walk the road alone i'll live in mem'rys garden dear with happy days we've known in spring,i'll wait for roses red when fades the lilacs blue and in early fall when brown leaves call i'll catch a glimpse of you should you go first and i remain for battles to be fought each time you've touched along the way will be a hallowed spot i'll hear your voice i'll see your smile though blindly i may grope the mem'ry of your helping hand will buoy me on with hope beyone the sunset oh blissful morning when with our saviour heaven is begun Earth's toiling ended oh glorious dawning beyond the sunset when day is done
should you go first and i remain to finish with the scroll no less than shadows shall ever creep in to make this life seem so droll we've known so much of happiness we've had our cup of joy and mem'ry is one gift of god that death cannot destroy i want to know each step you take that i may walk the same for someday down that lonely road you'll hear me call your name should you go first and i remain one thing i'll have you to do walk slowly down that long long path for soon i'll follow you in that fair homeland we'll know no parting beyond the sunset for evermore.

Thai_Guy (676) | 3 years ago | Dear Brother By Hank Williams Dear Brother,Mama left us this morning Death's angels took her away She's gone to meet Daddy up in Heaven but we'll meet again some day She left this world with a smile on her face whisp'ring the saviours name Dear Brother,Mama left us this morning for the city where is no pain as i stood by her bedside, those last few moments i lived my childhood again i thought of you Brother and of the old homestead and my tears they fell like rain
