I bought my first Christmas Gift today  |

 Ok, maybe 2 gifts
but I got my mother in law a digital photo frame, because she sees so little of the kids.
Now when she comes down next weekend, to drop off the car to us, I'm going to have this wrapped up in bright Christmas paper, and loaded with pictures of my kids, and I'm going to put a big piece of paper do not open until Christmas. Just to drive her nuts. And Dave says I will....
But I've been so 'bah humbug' about Christmas, I would think he would humor me on this, and I intend to do it to drive her nuts just to see if she will crack and ask me if she can open it.

| 3. speedy1279 (1490) | 3 years ago |  I haven't even thought about Christmas yet. It's just too early for me. My husband and I wait until a couple weeks before Christmas then do it all in one night. That way I don't have to try to hide the presents for too long from the kids.
Anyways, the Digital photo frame sounds really neat. To be honest with you I had never heard of them before. Please let us know if she likes it when she is finally able to open it. Hopefully she won't bug you too much about it. LOL!

I haven't started yet because it's nothing really that big around where I love (we still celebrate and stuff but the gifts are optional). I don't think I will be around where I love for Christmas and therefore, I am not even sure if I should buy the presents*laughs*. I might buy some for myself instead.

I think it is great you are giving her that digital frame with all the pictures in it. I haven't seen any of those yet, but I hear they are wonderful. I hear that the pictures just change from one to another. She will just have to open it before Christmas.. I wouldn't be able to wait!

In any case, I start with buying my Cristmas gifts not earlier than the start of December, never done it before that, but maybe I should actually was it not that i dont have any cash reserved for it

I live far away from my family, from both side my husband and I. So I don't really have special time to buy Christmas gifts since we will probably celebrate only with our small family here.

| oneandonemakesix (24038) | 3 years ago | We haven't had a lot of money for Christmas gifts in the past few years, and we wanted to do this last year for my MIL birthday in Jan, but were under a severe cash crunch.
As far as a lot of gifts, not really, my husbands immediate family, we really don't buy to much for them anymore, simply because we don't have lot of money and they do understand, but we try to get his mom something, last year we sent her some flowers --
I will have to have my husband's niece do the downloading of images from the comuter every now and then, or send her a new card and have her send the one it it back so I can give her more pictures.
But even with my 4 kids, we are talking about doing mp3 players, or digital cameras for them but I really don't like shopping, just living more than 3 hours from my inlaws, they don't get to see my kids very often....so I'm going to load up on the pictures and take some this week.

Oh I don't know if I could afford it..guess I will start asking questions in order to guess what there is in the box or what the paper is discosing to my view..anyway it will be a sort of new game..the guessin game..and eventually I will be there praying to be told or shown what there is for me..of course the torture will be to wait till the end because this is the right and wise thing to do...but can I have just a glance???

Is to get 25 boxes for the item, and wrap it up 25 different times. That way she could start opening it on December 1st, but not get to the gift until Dec. 25th.
