What does O.K. stand for?

Oh my goodness, I never thought of that, thats so funny.geeez I have no idea. We have to find out, I hate saying things when I dont know what they mean or stand for guess I wont be saying that again until I find out. Thanks

You made me think hard. I, myself not too sure how it started too. For me OK always means alright. Now I am wondering of the same thing too*smiles*

The word is actually "okay". Because it sounds like the letters O and K, the uneducated assumed it was an acronym and started spelling it OK. Unfortunately, the rest of the world followed suit and yet another word was massacred because people are too lazy to write an extra two letters.
