| |  I also had to watch Donnie Darko a couple of times before I felt like I "got it," and even now I think I am likely still missing things. It is a really great movie, not one that I watch a lot, but still one that I enjoy watching!

Me too! The second time I saw the Director's Cut version and that is easier to get with all the explanations from the book.
I recommend it to people who hasn't seen it.
