Anyone seen this new Strawberry Shortcake babydoll?  | |  Reminds me a lot of the one they came out with in the 80's, blowing strawberry kisses and everything! Obviously she is a little more high-tech but still the same basic idea. I loved that doll when I was younger, so much that I found her on e-bay and bought it about 6 months ago! She was missing her booties, so I bought baby socks and put them on her. She still smells like strawberries! Anyways, I'm thinking about buying this new doll for my daughter for Christmas. I just think it is funny that they keep re-juvenating 80's ideas!! Even the old ponies that were fat are back out!! I bought my daughter some and if I had enough money, I'd buy them for me too, just to have them. I am a collect-a-holic though!

| | | | | | 1.  CurlyRed (3474) | 3 years ago |  I can remember, although I did play with dolls longer than many girls ( I had a sheltered childhood), going down to eatons every time I got some money to buy a new strawberry shortcake doll.
Always on the lookout for new ones. I can still remember a lot of their names. Crepe Suzette, Lemon Meringue,Blueberry Muffin, hucleberry Pie. I collected them all. Even had the Peculiar Purple Pie Man. My sister and I got hours, days, weeks of fun out of them. When we didn't know what else to do, we just smelled them.
We were in heaven when the cartoon specials came on tv.

They also had the Pieman and that lady that was mean too, I forget her name. Amazing the things you can find on e-bay! I used to have the Strawberry Shortcake baby buggy too, I used to put my dog in it and he would get mad and chew up my barbies,lol! | |
