Peanut butter disproves evolution

Right...that was the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Was that video satirical, or was this another failed creationist attempt at creating and knocking down their own straw man argument against evolution.

I'm going to assume it's satirical, because any scholar worth their mettle should at least understand that evolution deals not with how life began, but with the biological transition from one generation of living beings to another. Heck, knock the complexity down a notch - even if new life did spring up in a jar of peanut butter, you wouldn't see it upon opening the jar.

So, yeah - silly argument, and one that has to be satirical. Otherwise, I've just lost faith in human intelligence.

I have given this serious consideration, and I have to say that I believe that the creationist who is trying to disprove evolution through the activity in a peanut butter jar is flawed in his reasoning.

He obviously is not looking in the right peanut butter jars. In the name of science, I have experimented with this very thing a time or two. I have purchased the mega jars of peanut butter, cut a hole in the bottom, and placed said jar on my lap. If one was to look in this jar of peanut butter at this point, they would be convinced evolution exists due to the life found within that jar.;)

Well, the guy sounds like a whacko to me! But, who am I to judge? I don't know anything about science LOL.

I have a better way to disprove of evolution. There are still apes and chimpanzees and monkeys on earth and there is no half ape, half man walking around, also no ape or gorilla has given birth to a half ape, half human child. Evolution is a theory not a fact, and if the Earth was millions of years old, why are we still on Earth. Even with wars and famine, the world would have been extremely overpopulated, over harvested, and the rich would have been going to other worlds. Evolution offers no hope.

Obviously the man has never seen jars of peanut butter and jelly left in a deserted cottage on a small island since the 1960's

Over time they literally exploded with life. They blew their own lids off.

Even with all the preservatives that aren't lying around on the ground disrupting life.
