Value of Hero .....?

ooooowah have you asked a question that I like to answer, I absolutely hate the word Hero being used for trivial things, to me a hero is someone who gives up their lives or risks their lives to help someone else, not movie stars or sports athletes, I have written to TV news and other places when they call the likes of football stars a hero, they are not heros, legends maybe but the word hero should be reserved for the soldiers fighting for the country or the firemen that risk their lives saving others or even the ordinary person in the street that does something that is risking their own lives, it really makes me sick when they call a football player a hero because he kicks a goal...I am stepping off my soapbox now...:)

The real hero in my life and i did not have to put on my thinking cap to say my wife hands down She fits very nicely into this in deft look ..

Stories of heroism may serve as moral examples. In classical antiquity, hero cults, veneration of deified heroes such as Heracles, Perseus, or Achilles, played an important role in Ancient Greek religion. Later emperors employed hero worship for their own apotheosis, that is, cult of personality.
