I like Family Guy...but...

Just because it's aired at a certain time does not mean the kids have to watch it. You CAN change the channel, you know.

I think the parents should change the channel and not allow their children to watch it, if they don't want the kids to watch that show. I like that the show is on when it is, if it was any later, I couldn't watch it because I have to go to bed early to wake up for work the next day. If I didn't get my Family Guy fix on Sunday nights I would be even crankier than I already am on Monday mornings.

I agree that Family Guy is an adult cartoon that has mature humour. The content definitely isn't meant for children. However, I believe that it is the responsibility of the parents to monitor what their children are watching. The parents are the ones who should ensure that their kids aren't watching inappropriate shows. There are lots of shows besides family guy on the major networks during prime time that are not suitable for children. So parents need to be in touch with what their kids are watching.

I live in the U.K and the earliest they show Famliy Guy is 10pm so little kids shouldn't be up at that time.

In my opinion, Family Guy airing at morning is not so bad. Its true that kids may watch it, but unlike South Park, Family Guy does not have that much toilet humor. Family Guy does have more humor which is "pretty" naughty but only if you understand the joke. For example the episode where Peters dad says to Chris that he shouldnt do "that" in the toilet. Kids may not understand like Chris in the show that dad means masturbating in the toilet, because its not straightly told in it. Kids just might think that peters dad is saying that you shouldnt go to poo or something.. Other example when peter is near Chrisses room and hears the voice which sounds like well you know jacking off.. When peter opens the door Chris just plays with the toy. So i think kids do not have an idea whats going on. But thats also why its not so good show for kids, because they can not understand even half of the jokes.. Some barely any of them. Even i have some problems to understand few of jokes.

In Iceland this show is in the afternoon and i think it´s pretty harmless for kids I mean it´s like simpson´s family.

I agree. I know we all monitor what our kids are watching, but what if you're not home one evening, it's still on too early. I don't feel I should have to block a channel for just one program.

I know Jerry Springer was protested by parents and had to switch to late night television, perhaps this is a new move.

I wasn't familiar to Family Guy, but wanted to know what the kids were talking about. I was gross out. I watched it 3 times to try to give it the fair deal and I just couldn't do it. We don't watch it in our household. It's just not funny.

My husband is military and we have to get up at 5am, but the show doesn't come on until 11pm, goes off at midnight, so we aren't able to watch it if he has to get up the next day. Instead, we canceled the cable and use the money that we save to just by a season each month, then watch it whenever we feel like it.

Ahh, theres nothing wrong with Family Guy. Just harmless fun.
