| Ok, I know its taking advantage of the system, but they knew I was doing this straight up and I got a room cleaned it was great.... the Kirby vacuum people are going all out for their birthday/anniversary. And the more they do demostrations the more they sell. The poor gal I got was allergic to cats (I ahve one) Smokie didn't like the vacuum cleaner and stayed out of sight, but while vacuuming all the dust and everything else was being stirred up, and she was sneezing, so I gave her a claritin for here, and a benydryl for the road...... But there is no way on this green earth that anyone is going to give me financing with our credit, but I met a great person from the area I moved from, and she is getting me in touch with a friend who is just starting homeschooling. But how I wished I could have bought one, they were good and looked sturdy. and built to last. Do you ever get something for watching a demonstration? Mooch | | | | | |

| | We got one of those vacuums. My wife has a hard time getting by a salesman. Now she can say she has their vacuum already even though her electrolux is 31 years old. She won't turn it in because she likes it. IT has a roll up electric cord winder plus easy to clean along edges. The Kirby does clean the floor better and the shampoo attachments doesn't soak our rug like the electrolux shampooer did. She traded every thing she could trade in for it and got rid of a lot of stuff that wouldn't have brought that much money in a yard sale. She even turned in 20 cans of food at 5.00 dollars a piece. Then she paid cash and got another 3% off the price. | | | | | | |

| | they may get a small hourly wage, but the one who did the demonstration said that she was supposed to make the bulk of her money off commissions. I'd like one of those too, and she advised against buying a Dyson, which I had wanted, but she said for what they are you can buy cheaper for the same quality. She knows people with Dysons that have as many problems with theirs as with cheaper vacuum cleaners. They did say they were built to last, because they are all aluminum. Mooch | | | |

| | Golly, I bought a kerby way back in the late 70's and that thing was great, but I hated it after a time just because was so bulky and heavy. It cleaned though. | | | | | | |

| | The new ones are lighter and they have a button you can push to make it go on its own much easier as you push it. Now if they would just get an automatic roll up for the cord like Electrolux has. | | | |

| | My dad used to do that stuff all the time. He'd get that coupon in the mail for a fee day at some resort and he'd drag us out there. It'd take half the day to get there, we'd have lunch, play some games, he'd get the sphele and a watch or something like that, then we'd go home. It was usually a fun day out and we'd see places we didn't normally see. But I try not to do that because I just tell the people - Hey, leave me alone I'm not interested. BTW - I think Rainbow (if they're still around) does the same kinda deal... | | | | | | |

| | Yeah, Rainbows are still around and they suck compared to the Kirby. My animals were even afraid of the Rainbow whereas they love being groomed by the kirby. | | | |

| | I never had a rainbow. I think my brother sold them and my sister bought one from him. She loved, but it cost a small fortune. I don't vaccuum as often as I should so I never even looked at one. | | | |

| | How cool! We used to have a really old Kirby vacuum, and we always ended up driving the sales people away, because the old vacuum worked so much better than the brand new ones. It was hilarious. They haven't hit my door step yet, but if they do, I just might take advantage of them....er...I mean...of the situation. LOL I've never had the luck of getting a free something for watching a demo. Maybe it will happen one of these days. | | | | | | |

| | LOL, it's not likely I'd get a demo for anything out here. I don't think Aussies are into the direct selling thing. So saying, if someone showed me a vacuum cleaner thatt cleaned up the pet hair off the carpet I'd buy one like a shot. | | | | | | |

| | I have also taken a room cleaning for watching a Kirby demonstration. I don't want one, even though they are a good product. I just don't want to store it. I will go over to the local grocery store and rent on that does the job just as well. In the long run costs less, doesn't have to be replaced or repaired and I don't have to store it. I don't feel bad at all for taking the room cleaning because when they call I tell them up front that I will not buy and those are the reasons. So far no sells person has been able to convince me different. lol Susan | | | | | | |

| | Yes, they are good vacuum cleaners. I had a presentation done for me about five years ago and ended up buying one, now I don't even have carpet in my home. I had put it on a credit card, so who knows, somehow I am probably still paying for it. | | | | | | |

| | Oh, they don't mind. Everybody does that lol. Actually come to think of it, we could use that here. I'm going to mention it to my mom (it's my mom and dad's house) -- the place always smells great with the carpets cleaned! It always amazes me how much lighter the carpet REALLY is lol. | | | | | | |
