|  My 360 has the RROD error, so I'm gonna have to send it off for repair. Just a question though for anyone who has already sent their's off in the past, is it ok to send off my hardrive too? I really don't want to lose my save data, as I have a couple of hundred sweet custom cars in Forza 2.... a gamerscore of over 28,000 and lots of movies and stuff.

| |  I wonder how many people have already sent their consoles to MS... There has appeared many sites that claim they know how to repair the red ring of death error, but so far I know only one site that offers some good tips for free. If anyone gets RROD, I'd recommend to visit http://red-ring-of-death.weebly.com , the blog of a guy who tests Xbox 360 games. Hope that helps.

I have two Xbox 360 and both had the same issue at the same time.
They are no problems sending them off to Microsoft for repair. And no do not send your hard drvive. When you are on the phone to Microsoft they will tell you that you should only provide the console on its own with no accessories what so ever.

You actually don't have to send your Xbox anywhere they tell you exactly what to do.

| |  First, congrats on getting that much Gamerscore.
Anyhoo, I was instructed to NOT send off my HDD when my 360 suffered the RRoD. I just mailed it off yesterday, so I know that's the latest information. When you get the box to send your 360 off, there's instructions to remove your hard drive and any game in the drive.

| |  No you don't sent anything with it. Just the console itself. Take off the hard drive, I really hate the RROD I got it and like 10 of my friends too! But the awnser to your question is keep your harddrive.
