Socialized medicine

well i do not know why America is against it. maybe people do not want for poor people to get health care equal to rich ones. in my country health care still isn't the best (it is still evolving i guess, hospitals are buying new machinery and stuff so it will be even better soon) but we can choose if we want to pay for it or have a social health care (it is true that waiting lines are quite long for now but "we" are fixing that to, emergency cases are off course of prior status). social health care is great! how could one poor person otherwise afford expensive medicines???

It seems to me from the research I've done that Americans tend to be against it for 2 reasons. One big reason being that Americans simply don't trust their government to be in control of their healthcare since their government hasn't made the best decisions in other departments. Another big reason I've come across is Americans greed to only look out for themselves. They aren't willing to pay for others healthcare when they have their own insurance. The thing these people aren't realizing is that we are paying for others healthcare in due to rising insurance and taxes.

I am American and would love to see some sort of socialized medicine. I do worry about the government being in control but that's where Americans need to take a stand and demand their tax dollars go to the appropriate places.
