If you could play for your favorite composer would you?

I have far too many composers I admire, so I couldn't pick just one favorite. And as far as playing for one of them, does that include the opportunity to be critiqued by said composer? I wouldn't want to play for the composer just for the sake of playing.

So, assuming my twist on your question is correct, I would want to study under Dave Grusin, George Winston, Friedrich Kuhlau, and Claude Debussy. I chose each of these because I want more insight on specific pieces composed by each.

I would play Dave Grusin's Memphis Stomp (and then watch him play it so I can see just how much bigger his hands are compared to my own). I would play George Winston's Colors/Dance so he could correct my style (or lack thereof). I would play the Sonata for Kuhlau that I played for a state competition to see if I had the same style he intended when he composed the piece (the judges were impressed, but would he be as impressed?). And finally, for Debussy, I would play Snow is Dancing for the same reason I chose the Kuhlau piece for Kuhlau.

So how about you? Who are your favorites?

I do almost all the music but piano i have not play from the real pino but from the keyboard i used to play hope i will craate better sound in main piano!!

Oh, I would definitely not play for my favorite composers. I would never be good enough.
But if I had the chance to take lessons from Liszt or Brahms or Gershwin...
